You don't know how much cap space we've got, so how could you possibly say we've no cash left to compete? If what you mean is that Hull have offered him a deal relative to his importance to Hull in a position we already have Tickle, Ellis & Westerman contracted for in 2013 and he's decided to take greater money at Saints in what will be his final contract, then fair enough.

I reckon he's signed and it'll be announced as part of a "good news" week leading up to playing the Lord's hated Leeds.

If he's decided to go I think Hull would've announced it as soon as possible in order to give us chance to come to terms with it before we play again.

I like your thinking and hope it is the case, however if they are going to announce it you'd assume it will be tommorow...as they'll want as many days good ticket sales as possible.

fair point, just think giving manu a 3 year deal at 32 is offset by how few injuries he's had, don't really see it as that big a gamble compared to some 32 year olds, if you can afford it manu on the left and ellis on the right (where he likes to play normally) would be a pretty devastating first choice 2nd row.

I just wish the club would announce what is happening with Manu so we can put this one to bed and move on, one way or the other.

Maybe Standee, i know Mcrae was quoted that the club was meeting with Manu and his agent late last week,if a decision hasn`t been made yet we need to give him a deadline,so the club can look elsewhere if he decides to move on.

I suspect the club do know already, however they are waiting until they consider it the right time to share the news with us all, I believe we will be told this week at some point.

I think the same. As I've said before, I think if we announce that Manu has gone we will try and counter it with other important extensions (Whiting/Sharp) or signings (New prop/Halfback).

Mcrae says that there was never a deadline as a man with the service that Manu has given was entitled to take his time, but he expects a decision this week "before the Leeds game"

AP confirms what we've known for a while. Great news about Tickle and Lynch being tied down. Hopefully some announcements this week.

The Lynch deal, on the face of it, looks odd, but it may well be a playing/coaching deal with various clauses in it to cover both parties. The fact Pearson says we're building around forwards makes me think a lot of our backs are on their way out, interesting times ahead.
