Going back to Wigan last night, they certainly had poor defensive reads. They were expecting it to go out the back with two dummy runners and all Brisbane did was feed the player who Wigan read as a dummy runner. Our backrow would have had a field day with Wigan.

Is anyone really surprised by that result. Rovers are in disarray, injuries, bans, Walker, fans on Chester's back. Wakey have been playing poorly, but at least things are a bit calmer over there.

As I've said before I think Rovers are vulnerable this year. The squad is very weak.

won't get any easier for rovers as they have saints next week, followed by tricky trips to widnes and huddersfield. then they have a currently in form salford at home before they play us. there is a possibility they may still be looking for their first win when they play us, though given the unpredictable nature of the league so far, they will probably do saints next weekend

In fairness he's young and certainly as athletically gifted as the rest of Wigan, and from a culture of success, but it mostly seems to come down to the shirt he's in over talent, as has been the case under Mcbanana.

They usually do beat Saints at home and this is probably the worst Saints team for years.

think a lot of saints fans issues are more to do with the coaching of KC. they're not convinced at all

It's not just about the players they have lost but the loss of form by the players still there.

Walsh amongst others looks a shadow of the player he was 2 years ago.

Some bad planning at Rovers. Injuries are always unfortunate, but not to build a sufficient squad with some depth is poor.

I appreciate that Rovers are not the richest club, however they are not the poorest either. They have a sound fan base (must be sixth or seventh best supported team?) and would have made c£500k from last season's cup run.
