But the crowds down and will be more so next season if we miss out on the 8, and hes still in charge next season, the board are all about business, even they can see that somethings got to give or there profits will take a massive tumble?

Someone (might have been Sheldon) said that we couldn't afford the likes of Des Hasler etc but why not? We're always saying how profitable we are and surely if we got a coach who could win us something then the profits would go up? However, I can't see things changing in the near future although it'd be interesting to see what happens if we don't beat Leeds in the cup and also miss out on the play-offs.

Do our shareholders not receive any dividends?

Don't think Sunday's result will change much, but the crowd level might.

We haven't had a sub 10K since 2006, but we will be dangerously close to dipping under it on Sunday. That will (sadly) ring more alarm bells in the board room than our performance/form.

Some people would rather suffer reoccurring toothache than have the tooth pulled.

Think there will be a huge difference between what Agar is paid,and what people like Hasler would command?The yearly profit would turn into quite a loss,based on income as it stands.Would the BOD,be prepared to ''speculate to accumulate''?

I very much doubt Richard Agar will leave until the end of next season, and only then if the season is a poor one. The "call a director" line is open on Wednesday 15th, I will be ringing (again) but this time the question will be about Agars declaration that if "he feels he is'nt up to the job, he will walk". At what stage in HIS opinion will he feel he is'nt up to the job? and how low will the club have to go before the board finally realise he is'nt up to the job? His job is definitely safe until the end of 2012 make no mistake about that, you only have to speak to James Rule to realise, they really do have 100% faith in him to deliver, my emails to Rule have gone from logical arguments to sarcasm all to no avail!!!

Mrs. B can provide the details, but in essence we don't make enough profit to be allowed to pay dividends and never have. None of the current BOD have ever had a dividend payment.

a lot aren't, that is why I responded the way I did, as much as I dislike some of the things the BOD have done, they haven't taken profit out of the club, not saying they wouldn't if it was there to do so.

And there would be no problem if they did as far as i am concerned!!

Would that not depend on the rate of interest paid on their loans?

The size of our profit margin now that the loans have been paid off would suggest not - or at least not much.

That would depend on how much we needed to spend to be successful and remain so. Saints have been fantastically successful and yet never generated a profit at all.

They have been using cash to keep Knowsley Road in action though to be fair, will be interesting to see their profit in 2/3 years time when the new ground is up and running.

This may have been answered elsewhere but does anyone reckon Agar will keep his job if we fail to make the play-offs this season?

IMO failing to reach the playoffs with a squad which [uhe[/u put together is a sackable offence

he's running recruitment for next season, we have no apetite to pay him off and he's a friend of the Hetheringtons, he'll be at FC next season (unlike about 2000 season pass holders)
