I think we all realise an academy is judged on the players it produces, not where it finishes. im sure hulls academy would finish higher if briscoe and lynn were playing but thats not the point. 5 or 6 players had way too much 1st team exposure because of a poor squad last year, without this i think our academy may have done a little better.

its they only thing we can praise steve mac for. He put some excellent foundations in place and now we have a steady flow of youngsters and have recieved c100k for unproven players just this year.

i agree re macca, i think he did an exceptional job with what he had. Signings like worrincy, sheriffe and reardon happened because we had no money and half our crowd expected players on 20k to do better than the likes of scott donald on 100k+.

my biggest complaint is that we put our eggs in one basket last year but it looked to have paid off at 1st. the batch of kids coming through does look exceptional now.

I'm more than happy with Radford, he is a key cog in our squad and whilst he might not be the most pleasing on the eye I reckon his teammate value his work enormously.

Radford gets targetted in defence which inflates his stats, watch his work on the floor and how often players get quick PTBs on him or he falls off the tackle and ends up out of the next play.

Radford cost us because of his stupidity in the Leeds game when he was messing about and wouldnt let Bailey up. And Then hit him while he was on the floor(brainless let him up first)...That Took everything out of the players and cost us 4th then they was flat against kr due to putting everything in against leeds. But he gets rewarded with a 2 year deal is a joke. He seems to always need a breather after 5 minutes as well. Hope He has a great year but i aint holding my breath.

Im not a Bailey fan but it was quite clear Radford was messing about and holding him down.
Bailey then was trying to get a penalty by flailing legs and elbows.
Radford then took offense to it and smacked him while he was on the floor.

If it was the other way round would bailey have been sent off?
Of course not as he doesnt wear the black and white and smith is a T@at but still you dont expect that from a senior professional.

Also holding down is not a red card offence, it's common practise to hold a player to STOP the quick PTB and allow your team a quick breather then stay out of the next play. These moves are planned and sometimes results in a penalty (ref's discretion), but doesn't mean it's ok to be elbowed in the head!!

Radford was going to crack bailey days before kick off trust me!!
that elbow just gave him a good reason however his phone was white hot after the match from other clubs / players congratulating him on their behalf!!
Yes he got sent off , yes he in hindsight was silly but its a mans game and it had to be settled

Your guarantees are pretty worthless, I remember some of the things you said would happen last season.... they never happened.
