if not, then id still let fitz go to get finch, i think it is that important we get a creative half, then to replace fitz, how bout langley, what im saying is their is more options out their then galea, but just my opinion.

If we sign galea it will just prove that there is no thought in our recruitment. If he wasn't crocked then rovers would be keeping him. They'll sign him then start bleating about injuries for the next 2 years when he spends most of the time sat in the stands

Unless we have some mystical way of getting him off the quota it will be one of the worst signings (in terms of wasting quota and cap space in relation to what we have and what we need) I have ever witnessed.

I'm getting all riled up just thinking about our recuitment of "prospects" from Salford, Leeds rejects and anyone over 32 with a poor injury record. If Galea's one of our 5 quota players, I really don't think I'll bother with our usual 4 passes next season. Our recruitment of British players has been poor over the years (Tickle apart) so I think we will see a weaker squad next year. FFS.

Sadly true, nothing surprsises me anymore about our recruitment and retention policy. Galea is just the sort of player we would sign.

at the end of the day,fans are not seeing any difference in how we play.if the team tried to actually play some decent rugby,there wouldn't be so much negativity on here.the game plan,if there is one,is given by the coach,so he is getting the blame.the quins game was really the 1st time he has been critical of his players,which they deserved.it cost me around £170 that day for me and my boy,and i wouldn't have minded them getting beat,as long as the effort had been put in (ie-wire game)-but it was dire

No-one has doubts about the recruitment Agar brought during the close - the vast majority were excited by it and keyed up for the season.

The problem is no matter who he brings in, at about this point in the last few seasons, the team don't appear to gel, want to be on the pitch, have a clue how to play sometimes even basic rugby and certainly do not perform to their individual potentials and abilities. Injury's or no, back stage things seem to collapse right about now every year, a member of the coaching staff tends to leave, and performances hit rock bottom.

Every year we appear to be playing the same record on an eternal loop that starts off with trumpets blasting then tails off in to a requiem. It's like Groundhog Day.

So what are the common denominators?

Agar? Off field spats? Injuries (ok, but we should be in a position to cope with them within our squad depth by now)? Kath peeing people off? The "cancer" that has never been finally eradicated?

The other common denominator of consistently loyal fans must be looking a bit dodgy now, surely, but this is perhaps the only factor of the above that will force something to happen.
