Well yes today proved that, my point was with a full squad to choose from we can match any-one on the day, and hopefully all the players will be back towards the business end of the campaign.

I'm not too sure about the 'lacking depth' argument. Any team would struggle with the number of players we have out. Particularly in the key positions our injuries have occurred.

As for the match...the knock on before h/t and the miss kick to touch after h/t killed us.

Forgive me as I havent read through all of this thread. I went today and I think some of the comments on here are awful. For Godsake we had half a team out against a top of the league full strength squad. Did you really think we had a chance of winning? I am proud of the young kids, some of them havent even played SL before yet they were up for it. The more they play the better they will become. The first half they were great and it should have been 14 - 0 at HT as their try was a forward pass. They just ran out of steam and couldnt manage it. So stop having a go at them they need all the support they can get from you. Huddersfield fans were shocked at HT. We wouldnt be where we are now if we were still under Agar, look at Wakefield! Wake up and stop expecting bloody miracles. This is our first season under Gentle so give the guy a chance, he knows what hes doing. We are not going to change overnight and some people are expecting that. Lets get behind the lads as much as possible.

You probably should have done as you would have seen that nobody has been having a go at all and everyone expected a loss unless there was a miracle.

skinny squad , half squad injured in PGs first few games with us and people expect miracles is unbelievable
given a half fit squad I am 100% convinced that we now have the belief and the team and coaching ability to match anyone!
the skinny squad makes a huge difference when we have soooo many injuries .. Hudds are not top for no reason and their lack of injuries showed today, however as ours come back they will have their own injury ridden moments as all teams do... to be fair whilst a run at wembley would lovely again the main focus was and always should be the top three with no distractions now we know what to focus on

We hit the wall after 65 minutes last week, too. In fact, today was very similar but with even less fit players and the wall was hit after 50 minutes. Deja-bloody-vu.

Entirely predictable. Cup's gone, we need to move on, rest the squad for three week, then see what we can produce against Leeds. Massive difference is the attitude, willingness and belief is there, we are world's apart from last year's indifference. If we can get some players back we'll still do OK this season.

Great first half just a shame about the mistake at the end of it that cost us. Second half started in poor fashion with another mistake and the momentum and power swing when we had younger lads on was too much. Shame Tom had the ball kicked out of his hand as he was putting the ball down for a try (not sure that's allowed?) as a score there might have steadied us a bit.

Overall not enough depth available today and it was proof were it needed that too many youngsters thrown in at the same time (we had no choice) mixed with already injured players playing isn't a winning formula. Good effort though - this is a medium to long term project and the upcoming short term pain that we will suffer in coming weeks with lack of numbers will in the long run set us up for bigger things.

Bloody ell who's rattled your cage? Don't remember anyone saying you were one man side. Anyway, don't think contracts mean too much, money talks and players will be bought out at the right price. You never know, we might just be looking at one or two - Pearson signs who he wants!
