Think it's unfair to knock him about his fitness and compare him to the other props. They have all played the previous four games, they're obviously going to look fitter than Moa who was playing in his first game of the season.

He did well for me, looked eager to get involved and made a couple of decent runs. If he's allowed a run in the side I think we'll see the same level of performance he showed towards the back end of last season.

Absolutely. I reckon the fact that he only did one stint was more down to Agar than it was Moa - he used him like that last year for some reason.

It's harsh to judge him on one short spell in his first game back. If he's still in the squad in four or five games, I think we'll see a different player.

He trained with he others for the under 20's game in the morning so no wonder he was given short spells! Only called up at 3-00pm! As for the other stuff rumours are often right but wide of the mark I think this time. Well as far as Radders is concerned anyway, however I have an INKling that the back eye stuff is correct!

I know what you mean, he set himself a very high standard at St's which he hasn't come close to matching since. Seem's to me he's trying to hard to make something happen everytime he has the ball instead of a bit of hard graft. I'm sure he'll find some consistancy soon.

We didn't look in any way weaker with Radford missing though which shows that Moa is an able replacement. If Moa had 4 or 5 first grade games his fitness would be good enough to play longer. This is why rotation of the props game to game will become more important - Agar said as much in his pre match interview on KCFM.

On a wider note we have done exactly the right thing by bolstering our pack this year and making sure having high enough quality replacements to maintain our pack presence. It has always been the case that successful teams need a strong pack with depth and that still is the case now. Moa is an integral part of that pack strength even if he isn't first choice at the moment if all forwards are fit.

He did ok but was nothing special. That said it was his first game of the season and he was called up very late so it would be very harsh to knock him.

On Lauaki I thought we was excellent with ball in hand, when we people realise that we will be either hot or cold as he is that type of player, he is not there to be Mr consistent.

Me too. Looked a real handful again. Don't think he did too much wrong (that I noticed) defensively either.

Lauaki was fine and he gives the opposition all sorts of difficulties to deal with which in case anyone had missed it isn't something we have done a lot of in recent times.

I heard him say "I'm telling ya" and "Listen to me, [iI[/i know what's really gone on" so I'd say that's as good as "Fact". Also it was real life so he didn't have any smilies to gauge whether or not it was the truth.

absolutely, people on here expect him to run 50 yards everytime he gets the ball these days.. he will have great days and average but never poor (except the crusaders match ha ha)

Raynor is a complete jerk when he's had a beer, and you don't mess with radders

I've got a couple of points to make about Lauaki. Firstly i'd like him to run a bit more. He stands and hands-off a bit too much sometimes, with his size he could dent the line a bit better. Secondly, i'd like to see him bend his back in defence. He has a lazy tackle style.

Other than that i think he's great.

I think he's a more than able replacement and I'd have him in the team ahead of Radford, assuming everyone is fully fit. I don't think last night's showing did anything to sway opinion either way though. What last night showed was that Dowes and Cuasack are easily capable of playing 60 minutes and are no less effective for it. As if that wasn't already known.

Regarding Laukai, I'm not sure what anyone can complain about last night. He made a couple of great runs and was solid on every other occasion. After the Saints game, he was always going to come in for special attention from teams for the rest of the season, and just his presence, drawing in three or four tacklers every time, is of benefit to the team.
