Now I'm not showing the back of it because it cost me 6d plus the cost of the fags to draw it up. I'm thinking of including a swimming pool in the back garden as well if it will fit but there is a public one around the corner and I would obviously charge you to use mine so I might not bother. I was hoping to include a small commercial development down by the alleyway where you keep your bins as I notice that there is such demand locally for retail space (albeit 25% of the shops down the road are empty).

I'm sorry to hear that your house has dropped so dramatically in price and is now worth next to nothing. In any event, all the proposals are open to negotiation, such is the way of business that seems to confuse some. I mean, some don't even know the difference between a leisure complex and Olympic facilities.

As for covenants etc, again, they can be looked at if and when ageement in principle's reached that the scheme can be considered. I'm sure a bright fellow like you wouldn't waste your time and money on something that was never going to get off the ground. Have a look at Siemens approaches before they made firm commiyments for similar patterns.

best be careful with these things though, once politics gets involved the truth can get misted in propoganda. It's a problem that's held this City back for years.

My opinion's nothing to do with wether I'm a football fan, it's based on being a proud citizen of Hull. If someone wants to discuss a £150 million proposal that could well lead to further inward investment, I think the civic leaders should be capable of listening with an open mind and seeing if there's room for negotiating a decent deal for all parties, not slamming the door shut after the first meeting.

And that's just the portfolio holder. Fortunately legal and other experts would peruse any firm proposals and make suggestions to committees before anyone needs to buy a shovel.

That'll be the Costello that was dismissed as a possibile location for the KC as it was unlikely to get planning permission.

When the KC was proposed, there was no firm plan, just an agreement in principle. Locations and then designs needed costing out within an existing budget, yet for some reason people want every I dotted and T crossed at such an early stage with this one.

It being the statement that, as well as offering a site that's a non-starter, had other elements, like "they'll drive the rugby out in 15 months" shown to be nonsense? The one that shifted from the Fair to the Rugby as reasons why Walton Street couldn't be considered, even though it's not in one persons power to refuse it?

Debate via the HDM is a pretty amateurish way of dealing with deals of this value. I'm sure it won't have gone un-noticed by other potential investors.

Difference is that the council were using their own land and their own money.

Maybe a solution to all of this would be for the ownership of the land, stadium and resulting development to be in the hands of some not for profit organisation with a board of trustees representing the council, the allams and other interested parties?

It's the gifting of a valuable public asset to an individual that is the real crux of the matter here
