To be honest many folk believe its time to put the Boulevard behind us completely and move on , its steeped in issues forus to use it any more so I am sure we will move on and develop somewhere else unless things change..

Tonights HDM certainly puts the council in a bad light, they seem to have had no set plans for the site and have flitted from one plan to the next. The school is pure pie in the sky as are most of the ramblings from Minns's mob of Tories, they are slowly strangling the life out of the city.

I think the Boulevard would be best bulldozed, better that then a long drawn out descent into ruin.

Wonder if this has anything to do with the closer relationship minns has with our friends in the east. Seems they're on the verge of announcing some investment in caravan park and are even holding council meetings there. Would be strange if they decided to invest in caravan park whilst pulling out of a deal which would have seen significant private and public investment in the Boulevard with no coast to teh local authority

You know I believe generally the coalition government will be good for the country and jesus we needed a change but locally I have to say that it seems we are being led generally by a blind manifesto with no real plan of action doesnt it...jobs for the boys and secret handshakes .....so i guess nothing new then business as normal

could be arranged at least if the worst happens I feel really deflated by this .The place is known the world over I as well as many other am. players have the memory 50 years ago of treading the hallowed turf. It is remembered for life

I think the last 2 options were only viable because someone was effectively giving them the land. I doubt that their budget would stretch to buying the land as well as developing the site

The history surrounding The Boulevard should be enough to make them think "Hey, wait a minute, maybe we should see what the people that matter actually think and want". We were all set to go back in 'some form' to The Boulevard and have a proper training facility. The Gym on Gordon St is now already a part of the club again!
I really dont get the idea that flattening the site makes it 'easier' to survey. Surley they have someone in Guildhall with Google Earth on a laptop and someone else (that doesnt mond getting their shoes dirty) with a tape measure


Oh.....and whats all this 'Acadamy cack'?.......Its a SCHOOL......and it will be as successful as all the other schools...at best AVERAGE and vandalised. All I can see for the next few years is a big empty weed covered 'field' and no plans. Another Boothferry Park !
The Boulevard should be getting used NOW......It could be utilised by existing schools for games lessons during the week.(My games teacher at Hull Grammar took us there once.....It was ace

) And then on a weekend I'm sure there are a number of teams that would relish a game on that pitch? I dont know the extent of the vandalism that had took place last year, but i know before that the changing rooms were outstanding/clean. We used the Boulevard for one of the Flash Flanagan games. That alone was a special day for both Hull and Rovers teams.
We dont need another school...esspecially THERE.....What would that location gain? the kids living in that catchment area wouldnt attend anyway.....They'd be twagging

There is quite a lot of politics involved in the naming on it, lots of opinions, including of course from the various funding bodies. However I really like the idea, should it go ahead you should write to them with the suggestion.

went to watch hull isberg a few times before they dropped out of the conference.it was still nice to sit in the threepenny!!!!!
