What 'plan B' would replace two international forwards midway through a season with players of equal quality? One of whom is still under contract but unavailable due to the incompetence of the UKBA?

What youth setup, no matter how good, can produce international quality players at the drop of a hat?

Chester was excellent for us. In the two games he played between the six or seven he was out injured.

i think richard horne is wasted at fullback..seems far more of a handfull when playing at stand off.

Snag is,one of our best full backs in now playing in a red shirt,and we have no other replacement at the moment.

In my own opinion, no.

I would say Domic is the most glaring example of a player not even getting replaced we just seem to have rotated the right centre spot between G.Horne, Whiting, Hall, Byrne and Broughton.

we signed crocker to play in the starting 13, so therefore we are a player as no replacement has been signed

I think he always sums up the game really well and I agree with a lot that he has to say, the problem is their isn't much he can do about it atm. Thorman hasn't worked out and he knows that but he also knows he's the best we have for a few months. Playing down Thorman as a reason we lost was good man management and you can see the players really want to play imo, you can't argue with the commitment. I think we have to give him a chance to assemble his squad, Thorman hasn't worked out but was a last minute thing and there was no better avaliable at the time, give him chance.

Needs to go but the faceless board dont want to have egg on thier errr faces.

Sorry disagree - After the KR match last year Agar threatened to clear out the players. He never did. If he is head coach and Thorman was forced on him - THEN HE SHOULDN'T BE HEAD COACH!! - He as head coach must have made the decision about Dykes. If so he had plenty of time to bring in a 7. As head coach he renewed many first team players contracts last season such as Radders. Also a top coach can take poor sides, increase their strengths and hide the weaknesses. If you brought in a new coach to this team I bet they would instantly improve our attack. Its not hard to suddenly pass more than once!

He hardly bloody played....when he did he was a superb 2nd rower but he was injury prone.....amazing how you pop up when its the slighist whiff of a put down of 1 of your ex players and member of your coaching set up.

Fair enough. Yep, we hear about it all of the time, the infamous cull that never really happened. It was obviously a comment said in the heat of the moment, atleast he cares which is more than Sharp ever sounded like he did. I don't think he was forced on him literally, I think there was no one else better, what 7 would you have brought to the club? Who else's contract did he renew OOI? Radders was our player of the year so I can see why he was renewed, he isn't a bad player as such but he's a bad player in a team full of plodders.

Season for us ended in September - He had 6 months to get a scrum half. Thorman signed as Dykes left. If he was strong enough the board could have offered money for a Deacon, Sherwin or even Luke Robinson. Or had time to throw money at an aussie import. instead they went cheap an easy.....again!!!

exactly - yet our club turnover now is 4-5x what it was in 1990 BUT we won't invest in a world class coach.

Rovers lost Webster and within the week had the balls to pay the money and sign Dobson. If we were half as brave, we'd have moved heaven and earth. But no.....Thorman!!!

The whole coaching set up has to go.....we need a D.O.R,a backs and forwards coach....a kicking coach...dietician...a whole new set up.

Top coaches cost money and that expenditure is not justifiable to our board when we can appoint much cheaper coaches and have similar income streams. Our board are very good at making business decisions !!

Not seen agreat deal of Morley but I thought that was the best I've seen him play in years.

I am sure I have said it before, but to sack Agar will solve nothing. What we need is a Head Coach who can develop ALL aspects of our club.

Agar is out of his depth simply bcause he has not served a full aprentiship under decent coaches.

Under him, we have Last, who equally never made it as a player and will never make it as a top coach so long as he is learning off Agar. Under that we have Crooks x 2 and wh knows who else.

Jonny Sharp is possibly the one brought in as HC but I see that there is no change in tactics etc so is clearly not effective.

We need to do what Wire have done with Smith. No need for sackings, just a level sensible head who can develop the club. Get rid off dead wood and develop a system for all to work with. Its very similar to what Brian Smith did in 1990 with our club.

I watch the 21s regulaly and see no inspirational coaching, I see no real crop of stars. One or two exceptions but not enough knocking on the door of the first team. I don't see a coach who can change average players into stars, like Brian Smith did. He did it with a PT squad as well. Just tink what could be achieved with FT training.

As for injuries WTF is going on. This is our excuse year in year out. Are we the only ones to encounter them.? NO. But I would now start to seriously question our fitness set up. Also the doctors, physios etc as we never seem to get players fit. Leeds amost had 1 to 17 playing for them on Friday night. We rarely have this luxury. IT CAN'T ALL BE DOWN TO BAD LUCK.
