Hull v Saints

It's the week after we play them away in the league, just as with Wigan in the QF.

I was worried before the game that our pack would be dominated but a good performance across the board. Swift and Satae stand out players for me. Mau quiet but only just back from injury. All credit to our young forwards.

I would like to think officials were incompetent rather than biased but three identical tackles including Saints/Giants game treated completely differently. Gaskell put on report. Brown binned. Was Powell even penalised?

Farrell should be warned about his lazy head high tackling technique. He does it nearly every week but gets away with it and clearly caused Griffin to have to go off today.

Lam went down in my estimation today. Utterly ungracious in defeat and did not even mention Hull. Clearly totally bought in to the Wigan culture of entitlement and arrogance.

We love a tough draw.

To be honest I think we have a great chance against St’s.

I'm OK with the draw really, we'd have to beat them at some point to win the cup in all probability.

Not sure how many tickets the semifinalists will get given it's a double header and the women's final. Maybe only a couple of thousand?

Did you not watch his interview after the Grand Final, same script, all about how about best team lost and they deserved to win, no mention of SaInts, hardly surprising it was no different after the Hull game.

That usually happens with Lam when he is out coached and today he was outsmarted by a rookie Coach who is making the game sit up and take notice. I am surprised that no one has given any raps to Gareth Ellis our defensive Coach as well. He is also in his first year of Coaching but has produced almost 'over night' the British games current top defence.

The RFL have to look at the whole Referee situation.

Today is a perfect example:
Brown dangerous tackle: Penalty and Sin Bin
Powell same dangerous tackle: Penalty only
Late Wigan tackle on Hodgson: Penalty only
Watts’ Late shoulder charge on Salford player: Penalty and Sin Bin
One minute later, Salford player rams forearm in the face of Cas player on ground: Penalty only

Both these games, plus last nights, had a Referee, Linesman and miked up to the Video Ref (who obviously advises on some incidents)

All we need is one rule book, one interpretation and a consistent decision, regardless of which team it is. It doesn’t matter which official makes the decision, just give us the right decision.
