Why would we want a coach who has consistently finished in the top 4, won 2 grand finals and 2 challenge cups.

Unless you get someone like Wane, Brown, McDermott or Sandercock you're going to be saying that about whoever you appoint.

Brown as inherited good clubs with very good pivots, same as McDermott sandys in the same spot as us but with more experienced HBs, wanes got home grown stars coming out of his ears, Stephen Kearney is at the broncos & they are similar to us mid table 5 wins from 10 albeit been in a better league.

Sally, his man management skills in that were totally nonexistent. The way he dealt with Hock, Hardaker, Graham and the Burgess brothers was embarrassing!

Get Kear back as a joint coach. He knows how to win.

Don't see why Kear keeps getting mentioned. Yes he won us the cup, but the rest of his tenure wasn't brilliant by any means, and the players he had at his disposal were better than we have had in the last few years. If he was that good he would be in Superleague already.

We need a coach who knows how to coach in SL. Too many Aussies come over and sign average overseas players thinking they'd be stars in this league. It's a different style.

Either get an experienced coach who's been in this neck of the woods (so a Tony Smith or Daniel Anderson) or an assistant from a successful SL club who knows the workings of a successful system. Otherwise we might as well just stick with Radford as the others would be just as poor.

Mick Potter would be an alright shout as well.

Interesting to see how well the Eels are doing at the moment with Peter Gentle involved in the coaching set up.

Really now believe he was moving the club in the right direction and was well and truly stabbed in the back by the players in last years play off game. I don't see the CC final as such a disaster, the players didn't play the conditions and many froze in their first big final, happens to lots of teams.

Gentles softly softly approach didn't work and radders hard man initial approach hasn't worked up to now.

Still think Gentle was being undermined by our current coach who is now finding its not as easy as he thought it would be.

Gentle must be laughing his head off, whilst he is helping last season bottom side become one of the best sides in the NRL.

Don't agree that he was soft, just going about it in a more intelligent way that need time to weed out the rot and change the culture.

I have said this for two weeks, but if we have any really positive signings done, we need to announce it now, it might give Radford more time if he has made some big signings for next year and we can see how he is looking at improving the squad and the direction he wants to take us.
