30% is not an insignificant amount. If any business took a 30% reduction in income, it would probably spell the end. And I think that 30% only accounted for gate receipts, not merchandise etc. Add to that the fact that most sponsors only sponsor the club because they want their name to be seen by thousands of fans each week. If there were no fans, there would be no sponsorship.

The fans are the lifeblood of any club. Not that I support the whole 'they should remember who pays their f***ing wages' comments, but it's daft to suggest the fans aren't a massive part of that.

think it will be more than that considering the money the club get from Sky as well which we pay in subscriptions, what ever the percentage, the players would not be getting payed for playing RL if it wasnt for us fans!!!

I agree with all that and that to a large extent is why I've always thought that you can't run a sporting club on exactly the same lines as a "proper" business. The fans are a massive part of the club in a way that another companies customers aren't

What if and its a big IF, What would you want IF the team were to go on a match winning run of say 10 or 12 matches, would you still want Agar out ?

Does your hypothetical (and staggeringly unlikely) run include the Grand Final? If so, then I'd give him another season to prove it wasn't a fluke.

That was my exact thoughts when I read that, made me chuckle.

Depends on how we were playing and where we finished. A 10 or 12 match winning run isn't much good if we don't improve on last season's finishing position and/or still have the same fundamental weaknesses in our play.

I did say it was a big IF, but could happen, and IF so how long do the fans keep protesting ? Don't get me wrong I feel its time for a change of leadership.

However if fans choose to display posters at the end/beginning of a game hopefully he will ignore it and respect the fact it is the fans choice to do this. After all the posters are not directed at him or any other player in the team.
