Decent game that. Felt Wakey competed manfully after the 1st 20 minutes and had you on the ropes at the end of the first half.

Sadly that pack of yours is just immense and hits like a steam train! We were blowing hard with 15 to go, hence the flattering scoreline. Felt we were unlucky with a few decisions when it was still tight but not gonna pretend that was in any way the reason for the defeat.

Last but not least Talanoa. And I always bang the drum for him...but any1 who thinks michaels n naughton currently bring more to the team have rocks for brains imo. He proves it time and again. His carries were massive to us starting our sets.

I guarantee that in past seasons we would have lost that once we went 28-24 down. Showed real good character to respond and not concede any more points. Wakefield have the makings of a good side. If they can keep hold of the young exciting talant they have and make a few quality signings for next year they could do very well. This year I think they will continue to entertain but not sure they will quite make the 8. I hope they do though.

Michaels gives 100% and has done well in the bin man's absence, but he doesn't offer nearly as much as Talanoa. People quite rightly heap praise on McGillvary for his strong carries early in the sets, but Talanoa is every bit as good in this area. Just never gets dominated in a tackle.

Would like to see the Pritchard pass to Shaul again that got called back for a forward pass. Looked fine to me, and was a great move. That said, a few weird decisions both ways.

Well played Hull, thought you were worthy winners in the end...maybe 18 point margin flattered you slightly?

Can see Hull being genuine top four contenders this year if you stay healthy....a very good pack which will take some stopping....thought our lads stood up really well today and competed with you for long periods but just fell short...few 50/50's went against us and a few too many unforced errors when the pressure was on 2nd half.

Considering where we've come from in the last 6-12 months though I don't think there will be many unhappy Wakey fans with that effort and performance from us today....keep up that level of performance with a few negatives ironed out and we may just sneak a top eight spot?

Just seen a vid of the cheap shot by Gaz Ellis on Mika Simon...you'd have to say if the officials had seen that it would have been a red card...that coming after he was involved earlier in the tackle that left Tupou needing 15 stitches in a mouth wound...ban coming me thinks...

Utter rubbish. I've seen the same video and it's a careless tackle at worst. He comes in to kill the tackle as Simon is attempting to offload and miss-times the hit. Nothing more.

Pretty clear how both sides were looking to play and when Hull got on a roll we couldn't live with your forwards. On the other hand when we got on a roll our 3/4s looked like they could break from anywhere but we just didn't have enough possession second half largely due to errors creeping into our game. Our lack of a kicking game was a factor I thought compared to Sneyd's which was excellent and him, Houghton and Shaul ran the show off the back of your pack.

Play like we did today on Friday and we should beat Widnes. Top 8 might be a bit much for us though but it'll be tight as us, Cas, Salford and Widnes seem to be a similar level and Leeds and Hudds need to start winning soon if they're gonna make it. As for Hull I think you'll probably fight for 4th with Saints, they're a bit more of a known quantity and will definitely be up there but it's whether Hull can consistently play like this for a full season. I suspect you probably can as you and Catalans are the best teams we've played this season (can't read too much into Wigan's performance against us though). Now do us a favour and take two points off everyone around us please.

Good performance today in a tricky game. Bit disappointing that we went to sleep for a 20 minute spell but good that we came back and the 2nd half was really well controlled by us. wakey will win a fair few home games if teams take them lightly

How can hitting somebody's chin with a stiff arm be called a tackle, it doesn't matter what you or I think it it will be the panels decision what matters, fwiw I hope he gets off because it won't help us even if he gets a ban.
As for growing up, maybe you need to look at your own attitude towards people with a different opinion to yours before giving out advice.

Some fair posts off the Wakey fans, once we tighten up that right side I moaned about at HT, there was only one winner, for 60 minutes we were easily the best side and they struggled with our go forward and quick play of the balls, 2nd half we broke at will and with more composure would have had the game won earlier.

Stand out players were mini, Sneyd and Shaul.

All the forwards did well and Talanoa finished brilliantly.

Pryce didn't look fit, but still made a difference in attack, Fonua isn't a centre, but did improve 2nd half.

There comeback came when Manu was off and we missed his defence when he was subbed and they scored three try's

Try using both eyes when watching the video.

It's not a stiff arm. Ellis' arm comes around to wrap up man and ball but a combination of his timing being off and Simon's head dropping leads to accidental contact.

He may well pick up a ban for contact with head, accidental or not, but some of the rubbish being spouted by certain Wakey fans is laughable.

It's a classic stiff arm, fist clenched, swinging forearm aimed at the face and head.

 I thought it was a good game and that the best team won. That hull pack is special and I think that only the catalan pack can match them on their day. I thought minacello made a big difference for them when he came on. 

Despite how good hull were we had chances to win the game and we perhaps needed a bit more composure in the 2nd half. 

I thought miller played well and was a constant threat to them and I was pleased to see Gibson have a good game in both attack and defence. 

I came away pleased as we gave 100% and ran a good team close but unfortunately on the day they were just a bit better than we were.

You're watching a different clip to the one I've seen. On the one published by your oh-so-professional Chairman there's no clenched fist and contact is with the upper arm.

Fonua looks really immobile IMO like he''s carrying an injury to his knee which is restricting his movement .

Sneyd has been excellent for weeks now and shaul is the best FB in the comp currently, I also thought te bin man was back to his best today. I think we've missed his go forward since he got injured at widnes. We were all over widnes up to his injury

I am using both my eyes and clearly we have two different interpretations of the incident, had the situation been reversed I'm sure you would have a different opinion to the one you have now.
Ellis is not a dirty player by any stretch of the imagination but imo intent or not, and there's only him will know that, but he's got things wrong and made illegal contact with Simon, and it's noticeable that you now think he'll probably get a ban.
I'd just like to say in defence of the Wakey fans that both on here and on the Wakey board I have not seen one poster that has not been gracious in defeat towards your teams win today so why you feel the need to say we are spouting rubbish is beyond me.
