Agree with this I think O Meley will be very hard to replace and has been a very good player for us. Against Leeds he came on and started knocking Leeds' forwards around as well as choosing the offload at the right times. I would like O Carroll to take this role but haven't seen enough yet to suggest he can - Aspinwall is a game player who I like but lacks the physical presence O Meley offers. Shame O Meley probably wont be around another year IMO.

Agree with everything you have said, I can see why the club havn't offered him a deal though, as he seems to be picking up a few injuries and won't be on low money.

O Meley IMO has been an excellent signing for Hull though and will be hard to replace.

Did the radio say that I listened and didn't hear that, it did say that they were poor though along with a few others players, Tickle sounded the worst offender of mistakes.

No arguments there. All teams have these type of games, I would guess that our completion rate was about 50%, while theirs was over 90% and they got most of the penalties, so it's good to come out with the two points.

As I have said on the Rovers thread this performance will do us good in the long term.

I think that's harsh and probably RH looking for a story that isn't there. The second try came on the back of a vintage Manu break down the middle of the field and Turner was very close to a length of the field intercept try in the first half.

Overall it was typical Hull FC against London, and typical Hull FC playing a poor team two weeks after beating a good one. Apart from that 13 win run right at the start of Sharp's reign I can never recall it being any different in the modern era. We just don't seem to be able to instil that professional attitude in our teams.

Lets be honest we will of learn't alot more from yesterdays game then rovers would have from theirs.

Picking up points when you have one of your worse games isn't a bad thing, they will have been looking for a response after having their chairmen reading them the riot act.

By the sounds of it, Gentle thinks we had bad attitude going into the game. If we played like that against a better team, yes we probably would have got beat, however I doubt our attitude would have been the same. London drag us down to their level.

How did Matty Russell go for you? He's a very talented player, very much like Sam Tomkins but is probably better off both feet (Sam predominantly goes off his left)

from what I heard he had a good game, would be great to keep him but I doubt you'll let hom go (and why would you!)

Id be happy if we can keep him till the end of the season!

The worst thing about yesterday (aside from the performance) was that we couldn't pay cash on the turnstiles, had to queue for about half an hour for the ticket office and nearly missed kick off.

Anyone know how many fans we took? Looked about 800-1000 to me.
