really for me horne has been very inconsistant happened to have a good game this week against warrington with out doubt but like i say has had very poor games aswell, again like i say the way jamie ellis plays the game will improve our attacking structure which we need to beat top teams and with players like seymour, heremia and mckinnon theres the quality and experience around jamie

horne yeh recenetly has been pretty good but like i say hes been inconsistant all season going through patches were hes good and then poor

no not really theres been alot of indvidual players that have been consistant all season briscoe, yeamen, manu, tickle, moa, houghton, turner, whiting, westy the majority of the season have all been good consistantly but anyway i think as a team we would play better with ellis by the way he plays the game theres no doubt that he will make mistakes ect been young but that shoudnt stop him from been a starting half

As Sheldon says, let's not give up on Sharp just yet. It's been a difficult season for him but lets wait and see if our new man thinks he can do a job.

Opinions are great because we all see things differently but for me Turner is nothing but a squad player. He puts everyone around him under pressure defensively because he never ever looks comfortable himslef, he spends more time pointing to his outside man than getting in there and completing the tackle himself if we don't improve that right side that we may as well give up wanting to challenge. Fortunately for us it looks like the management have already identified this and are on the look out for a right centre.

Tend to agree. Gleeson's overweight, unfit cameo served up some good evidence of the difference a really class centre can make in a team.

I agree. Also, looking back, we've had some really (one time) world-class wingers in Sing and Blacklock but relatively lesser known centres in Domic and Richie Barnett Snr made much more of an impression.

I'm another who thinks this is the better way to go. I think people are being remarkably quick to write Sharp off, even considering the going rate for Hull fans. He's had barely any games outside a decent centre, and on the side that's been our main defensive issue for the last 3 years. He's also been treated like turd IMO, which can't have done his confidence any good at all.

I know, for a fact, we have made an improved bid for Chase, BUT it is very much dependant on him being able to secure permission to play because of his suspended sentence, apparently he can stay with Cas because he already has a visa with them as his employer, but any move (to us or any other SL side) would require a new one??

Agreed. It surprises me that some seem to be content to blame Sharp for the right hand side problems and call for him to be shipped out, but don't see any defensive concerns in Turner. IMO the only part of his defence that has improved is his one-on-one tackling, his decision making and positional play are still significant concerns to be a first choice centre if we want to be top 4.

I personally think a quality centre taking control of the right (and Sharp) would shore it up a lot more than bringing in another winger.

Wouldn't class Barnett as a relatively unknown centre, but would agree about the impression they both made.

Would definately give Sharp another year.

I'm with you on that one Sheldon, we're in more need of a right centre then we are a winger.
