I just get the impression that he'd pass even less than Yeaman.

I do wonder if this thing about Yeaman not passing is a thing of the past. I was just checking his try assist and off-load statistics with Matt Gidley and they compare very well. I know there are likely to be other centres who are way better in these stats, but Gidley is usually touted as the off-load king.
Where Yeaman's stats are looking ropey this year is missed tackles and errors.

He'll be great in the centre. Don't want to see him spend his career on the wing. Could easily be the next senior or newlove type player, which I said some time ago and was ridiculed by fc baldy who doesn't rate teh kid

| People make too much of Yeaman not passing to his wing man imo, most of the time his decision making is spot on.

I agree. When space is tight out wide Yeaman tends to run on an arch towards touch and if he passes to his winger the sliding defence will just keep moving across and smash him into touch. He has done quite a few offloads this season anyway. The only thing I wish he could do was attract both his opposite centre AND winger before getting his pass away.

| Yeah, when he does decide to pass like you say he doesn't draw them in and make any room for Briscoe to show us his pace!

| I think he is better at passing this season than in recent years but he still sometimes gives the impression of only passing to his winger if he feels he has no choice.

Which is where Tom needs to get smarter and realise this and then make an inside run so that Yeaman has a pass option.

From a running angles perpective, strength, pace and footwork he could make a very good centre. This thing is though defending at centre is one of the hardest things to do so this would also need working on with him, his positional play will need improving as will his decision making. He need to know when to come out and when to stay put and also need to know when to pass.
We have no evidence whatsoever that he will be a better centre than winger and I am not sure why people want him moved, what's wrong with him where he is. Also we don't know what his passing game is like, a few times when he has made breaks he has ignored an obvious pass and bombed a try or thrown a bad pass out. Again this is down to decision making.
If we sign a centre then Briscoe will stay on the wing for another year or two imo.

this is exactly what Tansey manages to do with his runs, but yer I agree Yeamo does make good decisions most of the time!!
Our attacking play and flair can be exceptional at times this season, up there with the best but our defence still needs work. Even Rich Whiting was a bit ropey at times on Friday!!
I do much like our attacking style at the minute tho!!

But we could keep Radford (I'd imagine a fair bit cheaper) and have Burnett who IMO has a make or break season next year plus Lauaki and Washy. Backs more a priority than Langley for me, much as I like him.

We have an average 6, who is struggling for fitness, form and (apparently from what I am told) motivation and a 7 who (by the looks of it) has a contract a season too far.
Who will replace these two, that is my point.

Our attack is nowhere near the best. wigan, wire and saints are streets ahead of us. leeds and hudds are some way ahead of us in terms of flair and being able to take teams apart
Our backing up is poor and we rarely turn breaks into tries. Most of our tries come from kicks or from attacking play inside the opposition 20
