Be interesting to see how things go if, as expected, Castore are the kit suppliers next season.
Aston Villa don't seem happy. Newcastle have had supply and quality issues too'"
Sweat doesnt seem to be an issue with our team

I think reading this, our target for 2024 needs to be that we're not top of the league for missed tackles and errors, as good of a coach as Smith has been, those statistics are unacceptable,. particularly when you consider Wakefield only won 4 games this season and still made less mistakes and missed less tackles than us

| Missed tackles at the start of this season, I can kind of forgive. New systems etc. and we saw in the middle of the year, our defence improved. Back end of the year, well, that is down to fitness, desire and commitment and with half the team leaving, the last 2 facets we definitely were not getting.
For me, there needs to be a massive improvement in discipline. The 6 agains we give away absolutely kill us. We have a small pack, but we invite teams on to us with essentially 12 tackle sets time and time again. I would much rather defend a quick play the ball from the oppositon, than defend another full set

Is this another of Smith's failings though? We had two pre season games, one v Sheffield where we played the youth and one v Wakefield, if there's new systems to integrate, then we should have been having more friendlies with first teamers to get us used to the new systems so we start the system strong, he even admitted we went in to the season undercooked, would saints, Wigan etc tolerate so many missed tackles?

| Has the number of errors and missed tackles increased greatly the last half a dozen games or so?
Wouldn’t surprise me if they have and as alluded to above they are mostly down to lack of desire and commitment.

| Last year we had a very careful and light pre-season which was probably down to Tony's concerns with the amount of injuries we had suffered the previous season. The downside to this is that we looked well off the pace up until around April/May. I think there is no excuses this time round for it to be more intense.

| I listened to Adam Pearsons interview on BBC iplayer, he came across very bullish about next season, bigger stronger faster pack, younger spine, he reckons your nailed on for a really good season, could all just be more jam tomorrow though who knows.

Mixture of both in my view, we know what AP can be like when Pass Renewals are on the horizon. However I think there is no doubt our pack will be better next year, but its not as if the marker was set high this season. The two signings which remain unknown will define our expectations in terms of the table, for me at least. A good 7 and SR and (on paper at least) we will look good.

As it stands we are better at fullback, hooker and miles better at prop, should we sign a halfback, similar to Cliifird, we are stronger there.
Wing, we are going to be weaker for the starter wingers, but maybe more depth.
Second row which was our weakest area last season, unbelievably looks weaker.
Two main things for me need to change, attitude and making sure the likes of Lane, Fash amd Cator aren't guaranteed starters.

| 6 agains have to be sorted, its no coincidence its the smaller forwards Fash, Lane and Cator who give most of these away.
A bigger pack will help us win the wrestle/ruck more, but for me we have to upgrade/replace Lane asap in a poor team one of the poorest players for me, misses tackles for fun.
On the back of that season , id say we need big improvements from Lane, Fash, Sao, Carlos and Mcintosh and should already be looking at replacements for the season after........with possibly the exception of Sao , pointless mentioning those who have departed who all played a big part in a poor season.
No predicitons here, still awaiting to see who our 7 will be which is huge, and who the Lane replacement will be which again is huge. As is Houghtons successor.
Part of me hopes Mcmeeken.
We need all the new signings to really produce, or itl be abit more of the same, hoping Jebson and Martin and possibly Stavley can come in and shine and cement spots, but they need help from the seniors.

| I see that Savelios picture on Instagram has the comment option disabled. Not all the squad there either.
Clifford already back in Aus, no overseas players there, Hoy is in Paris with his Mrs, no Dwyer, Mcintosh or Scott by the looks of it.

Cam Scott doing something much more positive with his off season than a up.
Quote ="Cam Scott"Earlier this year in May 2023 I lost my Auntie and Uncle 3 weeks apart from one another and both to various types of cancer.
Both of them were looked after either in Sue Ryder hospice or by the help of Sue Ryder nurses with regular support and check ups. Through the final weeks of their lives they had an amazing amount of help and support by the Sue Ryder hospice and nurses, they genuinely couldn’t do enough for the members of my family and due to that I am wanting to raise funds to help the charity in the best way I can.
Both my auntie and uncle were huge figures in the family and will be seriously missed and I’m wanting to push myself in a challenge in their memory and to help raise funds for the amazing charity that helped along the way.
Myself and a team from rugby league will be walking the Yorkshire 3 Peaks on Monday October 9th and will then be completing 150km on the Wattbike through Zwift on Wednesday 11th October and then a further 150km on Friday 13th October, this then covers the distance and then some for the original planned cycle of the Way of the Roses that we have decided to change for logistical and cost reasons.'"

| Hull Live recently posted our average attendances for all our years at the MKM:
2003: 11,598
2004: 11,458
2005: 10,604
2006: 10,866
2007: 14,606
2008: 13,452
2009: 13,244
2010: 13,731
2011: 12,483
2012: 12,402
2013: 11,640
2014: 11,166
2015: 13,343
2016: 11,407
2017: 11,718
2018: 12,174
2019: 11,478
2022: 10,763
2023: 12,835
The big jump in 2007 was due to Derbys returning, (2 x of them) and our 2006 season was brilliant.
For all the talk of people getting fed up, drifting away etc the numbers are very consistent (of course some may have walked away but some newbies must have been attracted)

| Its about time pearson offered some transparancy , and did a question and answer, or an indepth hull live interview and told the paying fans exactly what the situation is.
Its all cloak and dagger and insinuations for about 3 years now, the fans have backed the club to the hilt with season pass sales and shirt sales etc weve seen the new sponsers and corperate packages announced on the facebook page, plenty has gone into the club financially from fans and local businesses , so come out and tell us where were at Adam.
Alienating the fanbase slowly but surely

| So anything between 10600, 12500 the usual apart from the odd freak season, never below 10604 for a season average is very good attendances for a RL club.

Looking at those figures, it's almost as if team performance has little bearing on attendance. There is no correlation between success/failure on the pitch with an accompanying rise/fall in crowd figures. There certainly is no trend to suggest that the team playing well automatically leads to increased attendance (2015/16/17 for example).
For all the talk of us being a bunch of moaning-minnies, I would suggest we are a very patient bunch, clearly willing to wait (in considerable numbers) for the jam to hopefully turn up next week, nevermind tomorrow!!

| Called into the club shop this morning to let them know my wife has turned 60. The lady said that our passes will both noe be 60+ and the payments will be £19 each monthly direct debit. It was previously 10 payments of £17 so I’m guessing passes will go up by £20 across the board.

I agree, 2014 was dreary and 2015 forgettable so there's no logic to why 2015 got good numbers.
