| LR said we were beaten by a average consistent side today and that’s why he’s frustrated
Can’t wait for the Wakefield away match

| Quote ="Mr. Zucchini Head"As much as anything else I think he's just been here too long now and it's all gone stale. Coaching has a shelf life. Even the best in the world don't tend to stay in a job for more than 4 or 5 years. Long term coaches are rare. I don't think he's a terrible coach, he may go elsewhere and do okay, but we need some fresh ideas. He hasn't been able to address any of the issues that have been around for years.
I will give him time until we get a few guys back from injury and see what happens. I aren't going to be calling for his head just yet. But put it this way, if we announce tomorrow that he has left the club I would be pleased.'"
A very reasonable post and how I imagine most supporters feel.

| Simon Jordan (ex chairman of Crystal Palace) said on Talk Sport a couple of weeks ago, that coaches have a shelf life in a dressing room, (he said 4-5 seasons) where the messages are the same, the culture is the same and performances ultimately remain the same. When it is a winning culture it can be maintained, but the same with mediocrity, it's hard to change it even with new playing personnel. Was an interesting listen, even if he was referring to football rather than Rugby League

And I think he's dead right too. Especially with someone like Radford who it seems favours the stick over the carrot. How many times can a guy shout at or lecture his team about the same things over and over again until it loses all meaning?

And the season before.
He is definitely on borrowed time. He has always felt somewhat bullet proof, but I think Pearson is finally starting to lose patience. The next month will be decisive I feel. If we don't improve then he will pull the trigger. He has thrown the kitchen sink at the squad to make us competitive this season and he won't let it go to waste without taking action. Or at least I hope he won't.

| Well i thought id be facing a torrent of abuse - but it seems the majority think Radfords done or is very close to be at the end. The FC facebook pages echo these sentiments too - lots of people feel nothings changed and Radford is finished

If we are looking at ex NRL coaches I would take Anthony Griffin who has had spells at Brisbane and Penrith and is currently the assistant coach for Tonga. No nonsense coach who has an excellent record in youth development too.

| The bookies had him Favourite for the sack before the season started
They didn’t buy into any of the hype because
they are INDEPENDENT and driven by profit motive
LR is clearly the favourite still but now more so than at the start
Bookies have 4 windows for taking bets and one for paying out

| I'm another 1 that if Lee's services were dispensed with I'd feel a sense of relief.
I've not banged on about Radford out nor critised the team so far, as we are 4 games in, I'm resigned to the fact that this is yet another fresh start for Lee, so he starts the season with another clean slate.
The same errors, lack of discipline on the field and lack of attacking flair shows things haven't changed or improved, despite the massive overhaul and investment in our squad.
What I found concerning was Lee's after match comments in which he said, "What's evident is we need our best team on the park to beat those sorts of teams."
Firstly what does he man by 'that sort of team' as Wigan were not at full strength either but for me shows without his most powerful players on the pitch, to steam roller over the opposition, with have no other game plan or way of playing.
I know 4 games this season in isolation is not enough to call for Lee's head and I know he's not going anywhere yet so for now I'll sit back and endure what's served up so far, try objectively to judge him when we do have our best team out and see how the season pans out before calling for a new coach.

| To be fair, 2016 started off a bit like this. However we had 2 bits of fortune that year. Firstly we won THAT derby at their place, lose that 20 nil and he would have been in trouble. Secondly we had a great run with no injuries and put our best team on the pitch in the crucial games. Thus we got some momentum, improved and carried it through the next season. If we don't improve this year we need to move on, nothing too much against Lee but to use a cliche, he's probably taken us as far as he can. However as I always say, let's see where we are after 10 games

| We will know after 9 games BUT here's my prediction
LR will no longer be here after 9 games so it will be a false marker. I cannot see him turning this around.
Yeah, we may well beat le Cats but then lose at Wakey away but beat Wire then lose to Giants. see a pattern here?

And those wins must have been solely down to Radford, nothing to do with the players, just the same as when we lose.

| Richard Whiting summed it up in a sentence on RH Wigan more aggressive more intensity.Been saying it for seasons now, Radford just can’t get his squad playing at a high intensity consistently, after 3/4 seasons of this, ain’t it obvious to everyone?

| Maybe Radford should allow Purtill, more input on our attack preparation than Andy Last...
Isnt this the main reason why Purtill was brought to the club?
During the pre-season clips, hardly saw Purtill , Last was coaching the attack, and Radford was the defence..
Viewing Radford's pre-season welcoming speech to the squad, was hardly inspiring..

Can't argue with that to be honest and Superman knows what he's talking about. I've before but we seem to have an issue getting it right in games and transferring (supposedly good training sessions) it from the training field to match day.
As individuals its a mix as some seem to get up and at it during games and some just seem to breeze through a game but as a collective they never seem as though they are switched on the moment the ball is kicked. Effort is there sporadically but intensity and desire both in attack and defence is just not there consistently and we just look flat.
We have had a sufficient turn over of players to have seen an improvement in the way we perform and the consistency but sadly we haven't so if changing the players hasn't made an impact then you have to ask why that is? For me the answer is the common denominator which is LR & AL as the coaches. Listening to LR its just the same dire tribe hes trotted out the past 3 to 4 seasons so I ask if he is still saying the same things then as the head coach why the hell has he still not sorted the issues that remain?

I know what his job title is, but I wonder if he's coaching the reserves more than the first team whilst Radford and Last carry on as they always have. No proof just a thought.

Thats part of the problem but what about indiscipline and poor execution.
The other problem we have no real Captain on the field.
