What happens end of season is what matters how we get there i don't really care ,yes want to see entertaining rugby and in some games we have ,today was always going to be a grind it out scenario and it was and that was for most sides this weekend.Make no mistake the side did us proud today under some real pressure not helped by injuries ect .

Given all the circumstances surrounding this season, (much talked about on numerous threads on this board) I am pretty happy with a lot of what I've seen this season. Yes, there have been lows, and dissapointments but also plenty of pleasing moments, times of frustration and times of rolling the sleeves up and showing grit and character. I'm enjoying the ride!

We all know the squad isn't quite good enough to be top of the tree.
Sitting 3rd despite not playing brilliantly and never having a first choice team on the pitch isn't a bad achievement.

Wigan were a million miles off Saints last year, finishing 10 points behind...
Leeds were a million miles off Cas in 2017, finishing 10 points behind...

Its all about finishing strong and making sure you're in the top 5. Its then knock-out rugby.

I genuinly think if we ended up winning the GF after finishing anywhere from 2-5, some people on here would still be complaining that we were lucky and didn't deserve it.

Fact is, we are sitting in 3rd and very much in the mix at this stage of the season.

grand final doesn't represent who is the best team in league.last 2 years saints and cas were the champions in my book.the rl continues o reward second best.the game is a joke.

Best team at the end of the league stage yes, but not the best team in the whole competition. The competition ends with the Grand Final.

We are third on merit. The league table doesn't lie. We have exceeded most people's expectations me included. Are we going to stay there? probably not. Looking at the quality of the squad and injuries I'm very happy with where we are at the moment. For whatever reason some people are never happy.

Cas winning tonight was the result we didn't want but on the bright side it silenced the band.

We are now at that point where we want the rubbish teams like Leeds and Rovers to win games. Still, it's funny watching them lose. The Magic weekend Battle for the Bottom could be hilarious.

Indeed, it's sad that people need "instruments" to enhance the game, but has become that boring in recent years, it's what happens when clubs are coached by ex forwards.

Broncos did us a double favour today - a sprited win against Wakey which keeps the latter two points below us, and their two points which puts them level with our nieghbours and increases KR's chance of relegation!

Oh, and Mrs B - we are clearly fourth, not joint third. OK?!!!
