Not really used for a good few years, it's not kept up with modern technology and social media trends plus the moderators across the board made it a place you couldn't speak up if your opinions was different to them.

Any trolling resulted in bans and it just became a boring place.

You do know that many adverts are are a result of your frequent online searches? Dating, holidays......

yes, compmetely understand, but RLFans should't be privvy to my search history, it's illegal and imorral.

there should be only RL related adverts.

amazing how there's never any adverts for cooking, training, government legislation, the weather, things I search for much more often.

Why the last 12 months?
Loads like myself have given up with this forum far longer than within the last 12 months.
I did enjoy contributing when I first joined but quickly it became apparent that 'd1ckheads' supported by questionable moderators on here totally ruined any contribution.
Hence insider information is just no longer forth coming, especially from myself.
I presume MY POST will disappear very quickly from here....................AGAIN.

I just think the way social media has gone there are a lot more outlets nowadays so the footfall is shrinking plus some clubs fans don't even use this forum now like Castleford Widnes Salford etc

It's not RLFans that has that information it's Google. RLFans rents the space for adverts to Google and they use the metric ton of data they have on you to show targeted ads.

Creepy Tory MP Gavin Barwell made the same mistake recently. He criticised the labour party for having "Date Arab Girls" ads on its website. Of course it wasn't labour doing that. It was his just a reflection of his own creepiness.

I suffered with a similar problem.

I'd been on the KR website and loads of dodgy ads kept coming up to buy tickets for their games.

The forum is to discuss matters, what we (Hull FC) do good, what we do bad, what can be made better, talking about matches and all the points, some big, some small, venting frustrations and anger, showing relief and joy and a whole host of feelings that supporting a club bring out.
We try to discuss how we are going and the events as they unfold, background stuff (Stadium/SMC/other clubs/players) travel, plans, direction of RL as a whole.
BUT as soon as you have ANY criticism of the club or you say something that a certain few don't agree with and get the hump (often it seems a flying rage) with someone having the temerity to express an opinion the board goes into meltdown and insults and denigrating is the order of the day.
And it's ALWAYS the same few, instead of putting forward a cogent argument, some reasoning you'll get barracked, abused, called out as a troll, a "racist pig" (yes you know who you are and have the balls to call for me to be banned on the very page of this thread

) and plenty more besides, you'll even have yourself and your family personally attacked/called out and the mods do nothing!

You kick back against that not even close to the vile level that some display on here and it's you who are the one in the wrong and should be banned/are being abusive! Stuff said by those certain few is let by, a two tier ruling and has been since forever.
Having accurate statements about the club removed by the mods despite clear evidence of it.

The hypocrisy by the usual lot on this thread is absolutely golden, but not unexpected.
making suggestions or solutions that are shot down in an abusive and antagonistic way again and again, despite putting forward a reasonable and cogent argument, nope, abuse will come your way because some won't have it that someone can say the club aren't getting it right or could be doing better or just simply have a different viewpoint on matters.
it's the same old posters and it's THEY who are the ones that make the forum an unpleasant place to talk about rugby.

I said what I had to say, it's pretty clear that by responding further (on any thread) it only infuriates posters more, and more abuse is directed toward oneself.
Repeating what you've already said doesn't work even when what you've said has basis in fact, simply having a different viewpoint and/or sticking with your viewpoint is enough for the dogs to come out of their kennels. THAT is why so few frequent the forum these days.
Personal abuse deliberately targeting posters because of a differing viewpoint has been a common theme, when it gets to the point certain posters start bringing your family into the insults, using disgusting personal insults and the mods do nothing it's really not surprising folk aren't interested in being active on the board.
