Posterior Cruciate Ligament. Knee injury basically. Don't think it's as bad as either the anterior or medial ligaments, often they are as a result of hyperextension or twisting. Think the posterior ligament is inside the middle of the knee, but I'm no anatomy expert.

We're the only club in the comp with only 1 recognised hooker in the squad due to houghton's superhuman qualities but it cost us last year and will likely cost us this. Hadley can do a job there but we saw yesterday how poor we are with ball in hand without houghton directing things. Could be a long couple of months

Whilst that injury list is unfortunate, I think you will still have too much for Cas.

Hadley at hooker has got disaster written all over it - hes not an hooker and never will be. Give Litten a chance

Paea, Bowden, Fash, Matongo front row still not too bad imo

History repeating itself. The last time we toured Oz in the 80's we had massive injury problems. I think we had to play the physio in one game.

Sensible idea. He already knows the players and is acclimatised and has all week to learn some of the newer moves. Gives us another option in the backs.

As for the game I still think we can put on a good show. There can be no better opportunity for our young players to stand out than to put in a good performance against NRL opposition at Stadium Australia. For the likes of Downs, Mantongo and Fash who bounce in and out the 19 each week it could be a chance to get an extended run out when back home.

He certainly wasn't a disaster when he played at 9 for us last season, quite the opposite actually.

I watched him play at hooker for the full 80 against Cas last season on Sky and I was quite surprised by his performance. He didn’t just “Fill in” as you would expect from a player that doesn’t usually play there, to me he looked like he had played there every week. So i agree, it would be far from a disaster.

From the photos I reckon Richard Swain could still give us 60 minutes this week if Andy Last spelled him from the bench. Ellis could "do a Radford" as per the Good Friday derby when he came out of retirement and scored.

I think that Scott Taylor will not be allowed to fly home for at least a couple of weeks after surgery.
