GF success and I hope we have some sort of full on dossier with lots of player input that helps us to GF success

Really, I must have missed that between the shots at “same old problems that are the fault of the coach”.

The attack isn't anywhere near good enough. Only 7th highest try scorers in SL, and that is effectively out of the 8 who played in the top 8's.

Add in highest number of missed tackles (160 more than cas), 2nd highest number of errors, highest number of penalties conceded ( in the top 8's), highest number of yellow cards ( in the top 8's) and highest number of red cards in the comp and it's easy to see where we've fallen down. With some improvement in our attack - I've said for some time we need a specialist attack coach, better discipline and mental approach/toughness we should be there or thereabouts next year. If we don't improve in these areas we won't be top 4 nest season

The reason why SL is poor to watch (officials aside) is because it's a slug fest, the majority of the top sides are coached by former forwards, and it shows. The game is in decline because of this, and unless it changes it will continue to slip even further behind RU.

They brought in a new guy and he's turned them totally around

Paul Cooke as an attack coach anyone??

People may say that he didn't do anything for Leigh, but they don't have the forward dominance in games that we tend to have

I would go with that, espescially after reading his book. He almost joined FC prior to his joining Leigh.

That's BS, I said we had the same old problems raising their head - discipline, missing tackles, poor line speed, giving away possession (which leads to lots of tackles to be made), over reliance on kicks for tries, not much idea in the opposing 20m and separately I said the mental aspect is as much down to the coach as it is the players, so don't start making quotes up that i have not said just so you can push your insipid agenda

It's not just me pointing out our pitfalls and where we failed in certain areas, everyone has, that failing is down to the players and the coach together. Those are all real things that are re-occurring and part of the reason why we lost 13 games.


However I specifically said Radford made positive changes regarding using the youth in the squad and that he changed from using the same team team week in week out to resting some and playing others, something he didn't really do last year except for the Warrington game and that was mainly down to injury. I pointed out how good we were at times in both defence and attack, how fantastic we were in thoose 3 games I highlighted, doesn't that also credit what the coach is doing or do you think that's just down to the players only??

Having complete and I mean complete Shoite defence and unforced errors just fooks you up after 33 games

I'd have Cooke as attacking coach in a heartbeat and have said so for several years. I DJ at Yorkshire Carnegie and when Cooke was at Doncaster, the attack that Union side showed at Headingley was by far the best I'd seen in any of the teams I'd watched over the season and it was down to him imo.

Think we are going overboard in some of the things. Yea we need to improve in some areas but come on back to back Wembley wins which some are now saying its just winning 4 / 5 games yea right hence we've never won at Wembley till last year. We where 15 mins of getting to the grand final in the last 2 years so IMO we are not far off. We have come so far in 3 years. A bit of tinkering here and there is maybe all we need.

..... it does make me wonder sometimes what people expect.

It's a bit like believing Hardaker has been dropped for the GF, and Agar is off to the NRL - it'll never happen!!

Rich Horne will no doubt have to put more time in now at Doncaster so there is room for another coach

I just think we underachieved for much of the season which was probably excusable when our stated aim was to peak at the business end and win the GF. The fact we didn't really disappoints me as I thought we were the best team in the comp when we put our game together

some narrow defeats (and narrow margin wins too) indicate we're not far off, but we are still missing that final push to be seen as a really top side.

Tbf apart from cas who ATM have won't nowt apart from the hubcap is a top team. I think what we have achieved in the last 2 years we are now one of the top teams in SL. Of course the secret is keeping there. In fairness there are 2 cups a year to play for. Out of the last 4 cups we have won 2 been in semi of the other 2 and been within 15 min of the final. That to me says we are a top team. And hopefully still more to come

Our home form has cost us second place and probably a Grand Final appearance so as with last year the season ends on a disappointing note. Having said that I think most people at the start of the year would have taken a repeat of last season with a Cup win and a play off spot.

I'm not sure what we can do about the home form. It's been a problem for a while, we've won just over half of our home Super League games over the the last three years (23/44).

Yet our away form has been pretty good. Seems very odd

Some of them games weve lost no attacking coach could of helped with because our attitude was shocking - Leeds at Home, Leigh, Catalans away to name but three - that needs addressing along with the attack

End of the season we faltered as it was like was playing with one half back in Sneyd, Granted Kelly did some good stuff but at times it was like he was playing as another forward

Rumours we have nabbed Liam Harris from our little neighbours

Is he any good?

I honestly don't know personally but the ones that have seen him rate him highly
