I'm hoping that the result of beating Wakefield whilst being a very patchy performance mirrors last year when we were struggling and managed to beat Wakey and then went on a winning streak.

Win at Cas and we go then go to Headingley for a SF which hopefully if all goes to plan sets up a Hull v Cas GF.

We have have the squad to be able to get the results needed so no excuses.

I really don't think Cas want FC in a semi, even at thier's, our record against them says it all. I can see Powell resting players for the semi. A win for me, then revenge for post Wembley game, at Headingley. The double for me, but I'm a happy clapper and a club apologist.

Cas haven't needed to win for weeks, yet are still beating sides easily, that themselves have needed to win - so we cannot use that as a reason to for us to win.

If we lose, then I will be disappointed at the way the league has gone again, but say thank you for the back to back Wembley wins, get ready to enjoy the World Cup and roll on 2018 and the 2 games in Australia

Exactly, Cas look more dangerous when they're playing with no pressure. The only high pressure game they've played this year they lost. With the shackles off and throwing around they look dangerous. At least we're going in knowing exactly what we have to do.

It's a tough game to call but I have every faith that we can go to Cas and get the result we need. If we loose then we have no one to blame but ourselves. Our home form has been poor and defeats against Leigh at home and Huddersfield, Salford and Leeds beating us and putting some points on us is something we need to fix for 2018. It's still been a great season for me and the back to back CC Wembley win was fantastic. As Scott Taylor said good teams win at Wembley, but great teams back it up and win it again. I think Powell will go with the strongest possible team. If people think Cas will want to not play us in a semi final eliminator and pick a weaker team so we don't meet then that gives them a better reason to pick a full squad, beat us and not have to play us again at all this year.

I think it will be the former but ultimately a disappointing night for FC against a team who are not easing up in the dead rubbers.

Yes and no. They were coasting because we gave them three tries on a silver platter after being the better team early in the game. Cas made 3 breaks in the entire match, didn't get us on the outside once, and every point they scored came from our errors. It was 4 tries to 3 in Hull's favour.

I would back Hull to beat Cas even if this was a knockout for both teams. In a game where Hull have to win and it doesn't matter to Cas, I will be very disappointed if we don't come away with a result.

You seem very dismissive of Cas. Looking at your recent form I'm struggling to understand where your superciliousness comes from.

Not dismissive. Neither team played particularly well in that game I was talking about, it's not the best game to judge by. They are a big threat and deserve the plaudits they have had. However they aren't infallible, and Hull's best beats them imo.

When asserting "I'm not a Cas fan", it's best to pay at least passing regard to your posting history!
