Well, as fans we'd like to think we have some sort of chance. But the independent bookies and media clearly see it otherwise, which it is their job to, I guess. Oh well..

1/2 is far from conclusive . I reckon we win be roughly 4-6 point favourites, which I think is fair. It's an acknowledgement of what could be a close game that may go either way. Hull will be 6/4 I would guess.

More will fancy Cas than us. But 1/2 is fairly insignificant in RL betting. According to Flashscores Salford were 2/5 against us. Wigan were 1/2 against Leigh and 4/11 against Wakefield the other week. None of those were easy to call and were all very comfortable wins against the odds.

....and here's me thinking it meant put on £2 and win £1.

I'd love it to be a close game. The hard thing for us will be (obviously) dealing with your unparalleled attacking threats and managing our own enthusiasm/emotions. Our squad will be up for this one, I'm pretty confident of that, but worry is that may translate to penalties/errors which you guys can punish ruthlessly. I hope we get Bentham, need a ref that will let it flow.

It's nothing to do with winning 2 and losing 1, it's the bookies way of maximising their profits.

They always give themselves a margin obviously. You will never see one team on 1/2 and the other 2/1 because that would take away their edge. But in real terms thats what the prices signify. I've just looked and we are 17/10. The bigger the price the more the bookie wants you to bet on it. 17/10 tells you they are favouring Cas but arent too sure, because its not a price that is going to tempt too many into a punt.

If we don't match your enthusiasm then we haven't got a prayer. It was the 1 game I wanted to avoid. Cup holders away from home last 8. It will be close either way. There's no way we are rocking up to the kc and blowing you away and on the flip side I'm hoping we learnt a lot from being 18 0 down after 15 mins at your place.

Think the winner has a great chance of going all the way.

Many many Cas fans are apprehensive about this game and rightly so. We cannot afford to give you a start like last time. We'd be committing suicide.
However you'd think that whoever wins this lifts the cup

In a way shame we have to meet at this stage. cas v hull at Wembley would have being an epic final, not just in the rugbby sense but also because many Hull fans have a soft spot for Cas (dunno if that is mutual) and from my experience got on well with cas fans, and certainly don't have the arrogance of some teams supporters.

I think Cas have to be favourites given how you have played. Personally I think its too close to call. If we cant cut down the space and time for their playmakers they will kill us on the edges. At the same time if they cant match us physically and stop the quick play the balls we will overrun them. Cas are the more consistent but I dont know who wins if both sides are at their best. It will come down to a handful of key moments and who executes them the best.

Still need to improve our discipline as despite the easy win, think we easily lost the penalty count, our defence stood up to the pressure though, we can't give Cas that many chances.

That game isnt a great example really. Alot of those penalties on our own line seemed deliberate to allow us to keep our line in tact. Holding down first tackle after a kick had been blocked and the tackle count restarted for example. Cynical, but smart play. Conceding a penalty isnt always a bad thing.

A couple were this type of pens, but we still gave away a few last in the tackle, couple of dumb ones like taking the player off the ball

Hubby interviewed Lynchy after yesterday's game and suggested that even he could score down that wing! It proves that the big threat isn't just who's on the wing but who's servicing that wing which when you consider it's Gale, you can see why anyone on that wing is going to score for fun.

You jest, but I had to walk away from a Cas fan in the supporter's bar yesterday as he basically said that our game plan all along that day was to take Gale out at whatever cost. I was so angry it's a shame I wasn't wearing the Magic shirt!!
