Litten is 19 years old, they is no way he is physically ready to play big minutes in SL in such a key and tough position, id have him on the bench though and see how he goes.

Would not be starting Litten against SL's best hooker in a game Warrington will be desperate to win at home.

If it's a muscular injury, I wonder if the delay to Hull getting to the game had an impact on the pre conditioning and warm up. Not looking for an excuse, just an explanation.

I'm not angry...but the realisation of how hard it's gonna be for any of us to beat wigan to silverware has really hit home. Plus we've taken the out of rovers for '20 nil' for nearly a year and effectively done the same almost, against a team a good 80% short of its max potential
I'd like to hate wigan. But grudgingly I have to admire almost everything about them

Wigan are the benchmark and have been for the last 5 years, we are much closer now that a few years ago though, the difference is, that we get 5 or so injuries including a key one after 5 or so minutes we can't cope as well as with 7/8 players out, they are at a different level to use with their juniors and squad players.

Not sure it is 80%, as 9 of those who played for Wigan would be in the 17 and then you add in the very experienced Escare and Isa, their side doesn't look too bad.

Disappointed we didn't put them away in the manner 22 up was pointing too. Need to get smart and ruthless real soon. We're top without playing that well yet which is great...but wire will be desperate and then we're hitting the better teams in a thick n fast 24 day period

At this stage of the season (we're still in March!), it's all about picking up those points.

How we do that right now I don't particularly care. The better performances will come later in the season. Still 24 SL rounds to be played yet, just keep those wins ticking over and build gradually.

5 from 6 at this stage and people still choosing to invest all this effort in negativity. I'm OK with where we are tbh. Think we still have the best defence in the comp which is good considering we've only played 1 match vs a team outside the top 8 of last season and the attack looks better with Kelly causing mayhem and Fonua and lately Griffin kicking on. All teams have improvement in them at this point and no one bar Cas are really firing, nor would you expect them to be. I'd rather have 10 points from 12 at this stage, meaning 5 wins from the next 17 games to reach last year's safety target, than be in Warrington or Saints position.

Glad I already knew the result before reading this thread or I might have thought we'd lost. Good win despite scratchy performance. Take 2 points away at Wigan without any hand wringing and move on. Injury to Houghton obviously a concern but washy is a good utility player who knows what he's doing on a rugby field.

Despite the final result we also need to consider we were 22 nil up with just over half the game gone. I'd guess a mix of us taking our foot off the gas mixed with injuries/knocks and a momentum shift in wigan's favour changed the game. Had we coasted to a 22 nil win then no one would care. Nothing too much to worry about for me other than we need to learn how to close games out

It's a bit double edged..Can be negative we're not there yet and making same errors most weeks, 6 games in + friendlies. .Or extra positive we're top without hitting our straps. Youn mean like when we played Warrington at home last season, couldt imagine getting within 2 points of that Warrington team with the side we put out. Wigan are always tough no matter who plays

It's been a very satisfactory start to the season. Five from six is our best start since 2009 (although we then went on to win only another five all year). If we win next week it'll be our best ever start to a Super League season.

Game for game we are level with last season with the defeat at home to Catalans and the away win at Huddersfield reversed. We've just won what on paper was our hardest fixture before the split.

Cant really understand why people are so negative on here. It was amazing entertainment and we got the points anything else at this time of the year is academic. Its disappointing when teams come back at you but its also early season last week we completed at around 90% this week it was 50% that happens but I do think that if we can keep these two half backs fit and together we will see some great rugby down the track. Plus the biggest challenge we have as a Club at present is how the hell we are gong to replace Mini and Ellis, they were both massive again last night and when you actually take time to watch what they do on and off the ball, they are just a pair of freaks!

The negativity is kinda strange. Maybe it makes a weird sort of a sense given how ebullient many posters were when your team was performing poorly.

This was a great result for us,like them or loathe them Wigan are a champion team.They still had a very good side out and were never just going to roll over without a fight,and fair play to them that's just what they did.

James Cunningham has been injured all season, first game back this weekend, not sure why London would loan him, think we need to see how Houghton is and also see if we can cover it before making any moves for players.

Hilarious really. Last year people moaned despite winning a major trophy that we needed a 6. We get one who scores 7 tries in 5 and there are complaints we rely on him too much. Complaints we started fast and finished slow last year, this year we're grinding out results less impressively although 5 from 6 and people complain we're not the finished article. Build up Wigan as an important game and dismiss a win as inadequate. Incredible. Life is a beautiful, unpredictable thing; perpetually undermining relatively excellent times through projection of future disasters is hard to fathom.
