I was happy with the yellow card, could of been worst, could of put him on report, at least the ref made a decision. And imo, got it right, taylor penalty was a harsh

| Quote ="Kosh"Not the worst performance by a ref but hardly what I'd describe as a good one. But then some people just want to avoid criticising bad performances by officials so that they can sit on a high horse I guess.'"
Indeed. Overall he did OK at best from my impression at the game. Lunt should have been red and that was a poor and weak decision. It surprised me how there wasn't more done about Allgood's contact with the ref or, despite being captain, the constant whingeing by Campese. While we're on the subject of Terry I've not seen it back yet - did he hit Shaul while someone was holding Shaul as someone else mentioned ?

| Apperently the Rovers forum (secret one) has a thread on how Scott Taylor is a dirty grub for tackling a player who was falling around the head and he should be banned.

If you watch it again I'd say completely the opposite, Lunt knew exactly what he was doing and after trying it initially and failing to get Watts up and turned, he readjusted his grip and position on Watts and then attempted it a 2nd time. So for me that shows definite intent as there was no other momentum or player involvement to act as a fulcrum in the tackle as you normally see. It was a clear red card offence and Silverwood bottled the decision. These tackles are cowardly and one of the most dangerous and rightly have been outlawed in the game and the penalty should be severe.

Bang on the money... He tried first time and failed then when watts offloaded and relaxed his body he did it a 2nd time, and succeeded when watts least expected it. This was cowerdly and should have been a red.

At least Campese's seat will still be warm.
And yes - the Lunt tackle should have been a straight red. He knew exactly what he was doing when he had to make two attempts to get a decent grip on Watts to lift him.
