Said this morning that the one certainty is there won't have been any basic scenario planning by the RFL, always seems to take ages to decide on to games and dates.

Not too much luck in recent years apart from Oldham at home in 2011 and North Wales Crusaders in 2013.
Disappointing draw this time round, not just because we got Saints away but also that Wigan, Warrington, Catalans and Leeds were all kept apart too. |

The new format means the draw is going to throw up more all SL draws at this stage, as previously there would always be 1-2 all Super League in the earlier round. Therefore, only ever going to be a two or three favourable draws.
Tough game at Saints, but winnable and I doubt they'll be delighted with the draw either.

Just for clarification, I did listen to it, and the constant talk about RU, and Radio4 was the 2nd most listened to station, in the south, by RU fans and people over 55.

I don't know if the draw is rigged but you could understand it from the RFL's point of view. One-sided finals like last year are a terrible advert for the sport. If there is corruption going on then maybe Rovers took a dive in the last round to spare the sport any more embarrassment.

Ok, we have a short turn around... But on a selfish note, I'm really looking forward to a Sunday trip to saints! Get some nice weather and it'll be a great day out. Love the challenge cup, and this is a great place to start if we're going to have a bit of a cup run this year.
