We've just signed a kid from oversees who could slot in at 6 if the need arises.
Hopefully not for next year anyway

I am positive Dave, I love Hull fc, and am well happy with the signings Motu as made. What I cant be positive about is the man responsible for gelling these players together next season and making us consistently competitive. Ive nothing against Radford and as always seemed a decent bloke when I've met him, but hes clearly out is depth, of course he'll improve next season with the calibre of players hes got at his disposal. But all I see is another season of frustration. The rest of this season will bring nothing but doom and gloom. New coach with an outstanding squad for next season would give me more confidence going into next season.

| Don't take this as a negative post (I wish we had signed Manu), but I wonder if Hull are a bit behind the times. This season, the game seems to have moved away from the forward battle of previous years, with pace and mobility replacing the "heads down, up" style of play of seasons gone by. Added to this, a reduction in substitutions in 2017 (and I still think it might be 2016) will move the game even more into the hands of creative, quick players.
So as the game is moving towards being more expansive and less in the forwards, Hull have significantly strengthened their forward pack. I'm not sure it wil work, but I hope it does.

| Washy is a grafter and a good club man. We need players like that - someone who will give their all whatever is going on. He has stood out at wakey whilst they have been poor.
As for Manu, that is a top signing. The pack, as others have said will be awesome, but we have to hope the new backs are smarter to capitalise and that our half's stay fit and can pick them out. We also need to have better support play to take the offloads that come from Watts etc.

| OK so a few say we have no pace next year in the backs. Maybe so or maybe we do. Shaul naughton.Lancaster fonua can all
shift a bit. So maybe we do

| I'm at a bit of a loss as to why Hull have signed who they have. Don't get me wrong, your pack is looking fearsome for next season but you can only play 3 back rowers at any one time.
You've got Houghton crippling himself because he's got no back up and half backs who have hardly set the world alight. Second row was already your strongest position this season.
Sorry if I'm trawling over old ground here, which I no doubt am. I just couldn't be bothered to read past the first page.

| The Washbrook signing is very astute.
Our forward signings are clearly planning for the reduction to 8.
Whilst I'm not a massive Manu fan he'll give us great balance with Mini in the back row. If they can do 60 each and Big Frankie can do 20/25 on each side other sides won't be able to deal with him.
Ellis, Watts and Taylor can spell the prop rotation with Washy covering 9 and 13.
Feka, Thompson, Whiting, Hadley, Turget all providing good cover.
It looks very promising in the forwards, very promising indeed.

| Sika Manu is a great signing. He would be in the 17 of any Super League club, and there are not many of our players we can say that about.
Our recruitment this year has been very impressive. Yes you could say we need a centre and a hooker but the new recruits are upgrades on those who are leaving.
It looks like no-one else will be coming in but what is important now is that we hold on to our key players (I accept some of the bit part players may need to go in order to balance the books) and that we get the best out of the squad, using them to their strengths.
I think next year we will have the strongest squad we have had for several years and we are entitled to expect a marked improvement in performances and results.

You can add Westerman to that list....unless you know something we don't.

I disagree, forwards are still the most important part of the team and win you games, Leeds have the luxury of an NRL back 5, but still rely on their forwards, there key players have still be peacock, cutherbertson (MOS) etc and that's why they have signed Galloway.
Even at Cas you would struggle without Millington and Lynch.
All the players we have signed can do big minutes so 2017 shouldn't be a problem.

Missed him off but Westerman would be our 13. With less subs the ball handling 13 will be back in vogue.

Not all would say I'm positive, don't rate 1 or 2 signings as high as some. But I'd like to think I'm a half glass full type.
How have you been mate?

I'm have my moments and I can be a nightmare during games, but just don't see the point in moaning all the time.
I'm good back in Hull, not sure how long I'll be stay in the UK though.

| Great signing welcome to the club Sika very impressed with our recruitment for next year all better than who is leaving including Tom who is a defensive liability and loses us far more games than he wins us,
The lad from Melbourne can play centre anyway so giving Naughton a chance on the wing or Lancaster could be the key anyone who says we have no speed with shaul, Naughton, and the new guy from Newcastle coming in are wrong we will have pace and power in the backs just hope we start backing up cause we are going to break the line plenty

So is whiting but them players arnt going to push us up the table if you bring in poorer players from teams below you and let better players like briscoe go to teams above you guess what do the math you slide down the table and shall we have a poll on how many games played in 2016 if he doesn't retire first! I am going for below 10 games

| No one "Let" Briscoe or Lineham leave. They wanted to leave, we can't barricade them in the changing rooms, you know?
Every team has grafters; players who take the workload from others, who can play 80 minutes but are never going to be full international material. Washy, Whiting, Dowes all filled that role. We can't have a team of superstars due to the salary cap so a careful balance is critical and will prove a teams mettle.
By the way, players from teams below are often better than top 4. You do know Danny Brough was brought from York? Whiting from Fev? Shaul from amateur game? Hardaker? Scott Taylor?
