Could it be that Brad Parker isn't ready for SL and Radford would rather play a hooker at hooker than a non-hooker who doesn't even want to play hooker?

We have 2 hookers at the club with SL experience; Cunningham so far has not shown signs he's going to be another Heremaia, so we need a backup. Most sides go with 2 in the 17 now with the emphasis on more speed while opponents tire.
Howarth might not be any good but lets at least let him show us before you consign him to the Hutch Maiava Bin.

Remember Hadley playing hooker in the Fev friendly last year - appauling! So what happens if Houghton gets injured? Were left with Cunningham with very little SL experience (as a hooker) so the Howarth signing makes sense. People have to remember Howarth has joined us late and basically has had no pre-season. Just give him a chance

Just while we are on the subject of hookers, does anyone know much about Brad Parker? He was picked for England Youth along with HTW but doesn't get mentioned much.

seeing as there has`nt been a reply to enquiry,it looks as though there is no coverage.peed off about that up here in jockland,was looking forward to some sort of coverage,even got the the wife to do the shopping early.

We should be playing 1,6,7,9 13 today .. ie Shaul,Pryce,Sneyd,Houghton & Westerman consistently together....

How can they develop combinations & cohesion together?? when 3 of those are sat in the stand, and one on the bench..

What if Naughton has shown to be performing better than Shaul, given the coaches words wouldn't we be better off playing Whomever is performing best right now??

Who says Shaul is 1st choice? Pryce apparently picked up a knock last week, no point in playing someone with a niggle. Wouldn't you rather see how Cunningham & Howarth go in a game like this rather then have to rely on them when it matters if they're not up to scratch? Westerman may well be playing, none of the team sheets seem to name a 13.

But pivots are the backbone & structure of any team, when they are chopped & changed regularly,
we see, no understanding....

Personally I rate Naughton.. both are similar, but I feel Naughton has the edge,
as he possesses better ball skills, when is a necessity for a fullback in the modern game.

How many of the top RL sides frequently change their pivots?

IF Radford doesnt know his 1st choice pivots now,when will he know, Round 6, 12???
