Because I think Sneyd, Shenton, Clarke are all much, much better than their counterparts in the Hull team. Add in Dorn who is a good standard SL full back (as good as Shaul is at the moment - probably better in the modern day playmaking role of a FB although Shaul will improve) and Ellis who although has shortcomings in his game can smack the ball miles with his left boot and there are two more who have some skills we're missing. Up front we have Lynch who IMO Gentle ruined at Hull by removing the captaincy from him but has played more consistently better than any of our props together with Huby whom Hudds think is good enough for them and I'm already up to half the team that I very much doubt Powell would swap with equivalent Hull players. Then there's a highly accomplished goal kicker (and underrated winger) in Dixon and Carney who whilst having slightly less impact this season would easily get in our side and you have just some of the reasons why I was -1.

This season has been veey poor,

This season has been very poor, but last season was just as bad imo, we reached the CC final but it was a very hard final to take in, we was nilled in what others describe as the worst final ever, & the play offs defeat at hudds was the worst game i have ever seen an FC team play in, so i would rather not make the 8 or the cup finals just tp go & be embarresed like that, i want to see FC make all our home games hard for any team to come & play in, but at the same time be a good game to watch, rather then just 5 drives & a poor kick, & pick up the points on the road what are winnable at the time given the fielded squad.

But there were times last season when we played quite well.

Leeds (H), Catalans and Warrington in the cup spring to mind.

This season i can't think of one game, other than perhaps Huddersfield at home, where we played anywhere near that standard.

I agree. I'd throw Warrington away in as another good performance by us last season. And we've had a couple of stinkers this year that could rival the CC final and the Hudds playoff (Widnes and Wigan at home spring to mind).

They was very good games, especially the semi final, but nothing to back it up with, no consistency, but thats what makes the games good i suppose when we get a good win as we never see/ saw them coming.

This would be very good to see. We can but dream.

And shenton

daz clark is the heartbeat of that team though and is irreplaceable for them IMO

What a load of shiit. It wasn't great under gentle at times and I agree he probably needed to go but it was much better than the rubbish we've been served this season. there's every chance we'll end the season with a home record of W 5 L 9.

radford has failed to get the team playing to their potential in pretty much every game this season bar a couple of occassions

So now we're consistently rubbish then you're happy.

If gentle was still the coach this season and not your buddy, what would your opinion of a likely 12th place finish and teh performances we've see be?

I agree Clarke, Sneyd & Shenton are better than what we have, but overall, I feel we have a better squad than Cas.

Their transformation with more or less the same players, is astounding, not just their position in the table,
but their style & structure is totally different from when Millward was in charge.

That's due to having a good coach who can can get the best from a group of players.
That's why Radford will never make a good coach.
If you look at the First half against Salford we were battered,yet continued up the middle.A good coach would have told the players after 15 minutes to move the ball around and make their forwards do some running.
Radford may be efficient with his stats but as a coach he is out of his depth.

thats not what i said..he can go for me i support FC not radders..i said we failed in the big final last season with a gut wrenching performance & the play off game was the worst ive seen! So dont make out im happy if were consistently shat!

you dont like radders which is plain to see you obsession with him..maybe because he made it as a proffesional & you never..i dont know.....but dont keep harping on & having little digs about it to me because im not interested..i was posting on something other then him..so either dont follow fc whilst hes the coach or get on with it...because whatever you put on here wont change a thing in APs mind..he probably dosent even know you exsist...

Have to agree with JTP here.

How you can say last season was just as bad when we won 13 games and reached 28pts where as at the minute we are looking at possibly 8 wins and reaching a shockingly poor 17pts as I can only see us possibly beating Bradford in the remaining games.

I would rather the team be hit and miss as they were under Gentle than just be constantly crap and achieve sweet FA as we are at present, at least under Gentle we had the possibility to reach a final even if it was peaks and troughs. As for the final that was bad but at least we were there but mistakes were made no denying it.

We have gone backwards at an alarming rate and that for me is the worry and players that can perform better are simply not and we are still not rectifying the basic errors and mistakes in the games this is for me the reason why Radford is failing. Next year we wont have the luxury of Bradford & London letting us off. Had Bradford not been deducted points and in turmoil at the start of the season we would without any doubt be staring the drop in the face and that for me is simply not acceptable no matter what excuse you want to try and use.

I don't dislike radford, I just don't think he's capable of coaching us well enough. You act as if there has been some kind of seismic positive shift at the club this year when, in fact, we're worse. You defend him on pretty much anything says negative about him so don't complain when people have a dig.

I'm sure pearson doesn't know who I am and I hope to god he doesn't read these boards for fans' opinions or he may actually believe that some people support radford as coach

While I agree this season as been bleak I think people forget last season's games at Widnes London, Leeds, castleford, Bradford and home games against kr wakey, to name a few where bloody awful too!!

This season as been terrible, it's been so boring and ive never heard so much rubbish, positive spin from the club, and fans

Is this due to Radford's lack of experience?
As a Wigan fan we saw Shaun Wane come into the club as U18s coach in 2003/4.
He was asst to Adrian Lam with the U21 & U18s.
Following that he became asst to Mcguire in 2010 and succeeded him in 2012.
That's around 10 seasons Waney was learning from some quality senior coaches.
From an individual POV I do think Radford seems to be lacking in years of being an asst to quality coaches.
Feel sorry for him really.
Not as sorry as I feel for you Hull FC fans though.
Such a great RL city and a great club, no way should you be in the League position you are.
