It is the reason we follow our team through thick and thin though, those moments of pure ecstasy when the hooter goes to secure a nail biting win are truly special. I would however prefer a win at a canter in the final
'"
I've had a vision that Lineham plucks the ball out the air in the last play of the game from Pat Richards to go the full length to win the game. Milky then jumps around like a lunatic in the in goal area and Whiting gets MOTM for playing at Hooker.
Come on its FC, anything is possible.

| Sundays game was a fantastic advert for RL and a great game for the neutral (me) to watch, hope the final produces a similar spectacle.
The 2005 CC Final was also a great game to watch even for a losing supporter (me), loved every minute of it, it had everything that makes 80 minutes feel like you've just blinked your eyes and missed it, was talking to a Hull supporter at a customers a few weeks ago about rugby in general and then he mentioned Cardiff 2005 and the both of us went off into memories of that day, its one that has stuck in both our minds for the same reasons, it was just a bloody good game of rugby league - rugby as it should be played.
Looking forward to this years final.

Would that be enough to gain him instant entrance to the FC Legends club? hehe
I can't imagine the crowd response if that happened

They'd start building the statue before he'd even put the ball down

| I'd be getting ready for a Vegas style wedding in front of the Bobby Moore statue if he did that!

| Quote ="hullbg"Being at a game Sunday was possibly the most nervous but then I am a very nervous watcher even in tight league games never mind something that has a little bit more gravitas to it.
However the 2005 final I was sadly living abroad and couldn't get back (more like couldn't afford) and had to make do with listening to it on a internet stream (couldn't get a live vid stream) in an internet cafe.
All was good till Cooke scored then the internet dropped out and im frantically trying to find out if we kicked the goal, even so far as commandeering a frightened looking teenagers computer to make sure it wasn't just my terminal that had lost internet.
When it finally came back I heard we had won. (Still reckon there was a Rovers supporter around who caused the drop of the internet)

I had exactly the same scenario. Was on holiday in Japan, in Hiroshima on the night of the final. Ended up watching score updates in the hotel lobby via the BBC website. Just like you, it seemed to stop updating suddenly immediately after Cooke's try. It took what seemed like an eternity for it to update for the conversion. We had no idea whether we were a point in front or a point behind.

| I reckon the final is gonna be the biggest nail biter in my time, I just feel that we just might pull off a shock as big as Featherstone against us. Just a feeling like.

| Quote ="UllFC"Cardiff 2005 was worse, just when you thought we'd got it wrapped up they go and let the ball bounce out from the Leeds kick-off, and then Sinfield lines up for a drop goal which felt like it was in super-slow-mo, only for Swain to save the day!'"
This ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^....the sheer relief when we got the penalty and knew we had won it.Never seen so many grown men cry...me included.

| As a Wigan fan the last 10 minutes of the 85 final were awful, I really thought my heart was going to jump out of my chest, you have to remember that we hadn't won the C Cup for 20 years prior to that day, and I must say that the Hull fans were magnificent, before, during, and especially after, very gracious in defeat, and accepting we had all witnessed a 'classic'.

Yes, we'd all settle for a repeat of that final (obviously with a different outcome) and I'm sure you'd be as gracious as we were. My very first final was back in 59 against you lot and its always stayed with me what a great bunch of people RL fans are.
