Good number of away supporters today, certainly more than Hudds usually bring.

Just got back in. Last 10 minutes made the scoreline look better, but Wigan won't be worried if they get a video. Heremaia was awful imo. (That was without his awful goal kicking - the one on the hooter didn't get within 10 metres of the posts).
Thought the forwards drove in well but very few off loads. Shaul looked lively.
I know we are in the next round and all that but it didn't really look great today - timings being the key problem.

Game was scrappy really, but some good tries towards the end and I don't think I remember Yeamo passing so much.

Their thirteen was as tall as he was wide, great lad. What position was he playing? He had more ball than their halves.

And lastly, I don't think I've seen a worse kick in anger than Heremaia's when he knocked on, comedy gold!

Their 13 was Jono Smith who actually threw out some really decent passes to break our line. He looked knackered afer 20 minutes, but played about 65 mins in all. I agree their fans brought more atmosphere than the likes of Huddersfield.

Very funny by heremaia I think he couldnt decide weather to kick the ball or throw it to the ground and did a mixture of both .

No injuries according to Gentle, which is good news, was a bit wortied about Azza when he was own for a couple of minutes. Good to have Yeaman back to replace Arundel.

Sounds like we'll bring McDonnell, Briscoe, Ogre and Whiting back on Friday, but more cagey about Ellis, sounds more likely to be London. That would still leave Arundel, Holdsworth, Tickle, Galea all medium term. Doing it tough ATM, like a lot of teams.

Agree on leaving Ellis out til London, yes it would be a more high profile 'comeback' against Wigan, but we've got him for another 2.5 years and coming back against the best side in the competition would be a massive ask.

Gentle said he was "flying" in training and will want to play, but sort of re-iterated your longer term view above. Then said if he says he's right later in the week, he'll play. Wouldn't be surprised either way.

Saved my money today and will use what I saved to get my Magic Weekend ticket instead. I won't pay to attend games that are complete non-contests, I don't go to friendlies for the same reason.

I've often thought the RFL would be best introducing a rule that a Championship club plays at home in the first 2 rounds if they draw an SL crowd. That way they would get the bar takings, the 'hype' of an SL club coming to town might get a few more locals to the game and it saves on the costs of opening large SL grounds for tiny crowds.

Yeah, saw Rochdale v Crusaders last year and they had a good, vocal following their too. Best chant of the day was after they were awarded a penalty and they sung 'the referee's a Welshman'.
