Scott Prince would have been a great signing. Until we get a top class 7 we will not break into the top 4 on a regular basis.
Last night though we were given a beating by a top class side who will do job on most sides in the league. It would have been hard for a top half back last night without the ball in the second half!

Wire had Myler and Rachford in the halfs, Leeds have McGuire and Burrow, Wigan Moore and Green, are Holdsworth and Horne that much worse than them ?

15 minute spell lost it for us, Wire tackled well, didn't give any penalties away and held onto the ball for the whole game thus we had very little ball to work with. We did similar apart from that 15 minute spell.

We obviously had a plan to kick for the dead ball but I'm not sure I agree with that, it gave us no chance of a repeat set when we did get into the Wire half. If we had kept it late at 6-4 it might have worked but it was never going to stay at that score.

I assume you realise he's contracted until the end of 2014 and he won't be going anywhere unless someone digs deep into his pockets?

Not once did we utilise the bomb last night. If your kicking game is no good like ours , the bomb is your best option.

I know that, but if he knows he isn't going to get a game he might start considering his options, I'm assuming he wants a job or career after 2014 especially if the club might be willing to help him along.

Or he might be in the team next week. Without being able to dual reg him or play overage players in the U-19's the longer he goes without playing the worse it will be.

Seymour should have played IMO, Azza been doing well from DH. Hopefully DJ back next week.

Saints are having a similar (but not as big) a problem.
Even Rovers have got this covered better than us. We will never progress until this 6 year problem is resolved.

I dont disagree that we need a 7 but with the idea that we can't win without one. I got my Moore and Smith mixed up at Wigan but are at lot of the top teams half's THAT much better than ours ?

I thought Holdsworth and Mcdonnel seemed to be forming a very tidy partnership and it was generating tries, we saw yesterday how offence could come from the hooker too with Monaghan. I think we can win with Holdsworth and Horne (if his form keeps up) as offence can also come from other areas. We won't win the league but I think we can be better than last year and keep up our general improvement.
