Clubs buy players to improve the team thus improving the teams performance. Pearson aims to win silverwear by whatever means necessary - and you know he does. If that means unsettling other clubs and their supporters he doesn't care.

Just remember RL and SL is a very small sport supported by a small number of people - call it a family if you like.

Short-termism has never worked in sport - you need to build to be successful.

Pearson has [icontinually[/i emphasised the need to build for the future and has invested the vast majority of the money he's spent on facilities and youth development. At the same time he is backing his coach in the selection and signing of some decent players - which is no different to any other club.

I read all this bilge about 'buying success' and I have to laugh. Just how many transfer fees have we paid? How many in-contract players have we 'unsettled' with our 'big chequebook'? Take your time answering.

IMO it sounds like sour grapes that Wakey wanted to retain him but he has choose us. I reckon we will see a lot more of this as other teams younger players opt to join us. However I am not 100% convinced that Pearson does things by the book either.

I think the anti tampering rule is a bit redundant due to the fact that clubs are allowed to speak to players agents and visa versa at any time. So they may aswell talk to the player directly if thats allowed
