You said give the kid a break, so to me that sounds like you thought I was slating the kid.
And the way you say about his dad and uncle 'Oh wait you don't know who they are do you'. To me sounds like some sort of dig or sarcasm.

Looked good in defence and didnt put a foot wrong....got absouletley flattend in a tackle in the 1st half and just got up and played the ball.

The best kind of debut IMO; didn't particularly look out of place nor look flash and build up hype/expectation. Just a solid, promising start with potential.

He didn't impress or not impress to me. He was fairly non existant during the game. Potential yes but nowhere near ready.

He didn't do anything wrong. He was strong on defence, and good going forward (given a decent pass!)
For me, non existent is good. He's finding his feet still. The ball never reached our backs because we got dragged into a forwards game.

To say he's nowhere near ready, in my opinion, is a ridiculous statement.

You're right non existent is probably good, I wasn't knocking him but not gonna lavish praise on him for the sake of it.

He isn't nowhere near ready to be a starting centre in SL. However I wouldn't expect him to be as he needs to develop physically and also develop his game. He's about where i'd expect.

Agreed. It means you can't have been a noticeable weakness without bringing any added pressure. As I said, in many ways the best kind of debut IMO.
