Harvey Howard possibly also.
Plus I would be happy if you took Watts off our books!!!

If Gentle is going to be going for a more mobile pack then Aspinwall would fit into that.
He's put in some good performances this year and would be easily available for us to sign up. Also, with the ambition shown by the Ellis signing he may wish to stay.
I wouldn't see him getting too many chances at loose forward - we have Westerman, Whiting, even Ellis, as well as Kent coming through and looking good.
As for a centre, with the way things have gone so far I would be happy with Turner and Yeaman being our starting centres. However, I would like us to sign another centre to give a bit of competition to the spots and also provide good cover.
Like I said in this thread earlier, Kieran Foran would be a tremendous signing as a halfback but quite unlikely.

| Personally from that list I would go for Tony Williams from Manly and play him at centre. He is an absolute monster (granted he is on a 7 game ban) but imo he plays better at centre than 2nd row.
I would also bring MoiMoi over to replace ogre.

No way he would come over. He wouldn't give up the rep honours at this stage of his career.

Burgess is a good prospect but Bryn is having his best season yet and MnM is looking a great signing. Hopefully we can retain them all but Bryn and MnM are better atm.

| I'd fancy Soliola, Sa, Meli, or Millard if we're bringing in a centre, but if Turner carries on improving I think he'll be ready, unless he's going then move for one of these.

Wouldn't be averse to any of the above being with us next year, but obviously the props and centres are the priority to look at.

| I've seen a bit of Watts this year and don't think he's been as bad as some hkr fans are making out while I haven't seen anything of note from Johnson.
Are they both suffering from poorer coaches this season?

Watts was garbage last season, nothing to do with coaching.

Wouldn't know about last season only saw highlights, his stats seem to suggest last season was his best although he looks consistent.
Part of me wouldn't be surprised if some fans were rubbishing him due to the rumours he wont be there next season.

That part of you couldn't be more wrong! I said last season he reminds me of David Mills, all the attributes(size, strength etc)but just doesn't want it. Maybe a move to FC alongside his buddy Westerman will help.

I've seen mixed comments on the Wakey board about Johnson. Some seem to think that he isn't big enough to play prop every week and that he's inconsistent as a result. That may also not be helped by the fact that Wakey's pack as a whole lacks size IMO, it seems to mainly be made up of backrowers with some being asked to step up to prop and not being able to.

He has the ability, we have all seen it, just no where near enough of it. He was dire in your win against us last Friday, possibly the worst player on the pitch.

| The whole Watts thing is quite interesting. He was great when he first came onto the scene and had an outstanding 2010. People from across the league, not just KR fans, were tipping him for the top (myself included). He showed from that that he has the talent, so does he lack the mind needed to succeed, or has it been poor coaching (doubt it), or is it all just a blip?

| Am I missing a trick or is the salary cap going to remain unchanged for next season ?
It's great that AP is making noises that there are futher big signings to come (to add to G.Ellis)
but it begs the question will we have to also show the door to some players who most fans seemingly would now like to keep ?
I'm thinking of players like Aspinwall, Turner, Ogre & Moa (accept these 2 may go anyway), and perhaps even Whiting and Manu. Lets face it, Martin and Burnett are not going to free up much cap space if it has not already been allocated to Mr Ellis.
Personally, on current form I'd love to keep Turner, with him and Yeamo as 1st choice centres and Arundel seemingly coming as cover. Does that just leave one or two props to now get signed up ? (1 rising starlet from SL and 1 big name from NRL perhaps).
