I went tonight, really nice food, decent service without being pestered and not too expensive for what it is.

Someone mentioned Alison Hall in Hedon, good shout that, they do some good set menu type offers there, really good value for money.

Try the chophouse or cafe sydney, both near circular key.

piola very good, pascoes in Cott good and very reasonable prices, for quality crofters in Anlaby.

Antico forno on cott road next to Gardners is nice. Had a great deal on groupon as well a few weeks ago. One of the nicest places in Hull to eat. Nice steaks and Italian food, not too expensive.

Lantern down Whitefriargate beats EVERYWHERE for steak even if surroundings not very modern. Nowhere to touch their Garlic Mushroom starter n Porterhouse Steak main.

It's is the same menu as Mustaffa's, and I believe owned by Mustafa's brother?!?!

With you there mate. First time I went ordered steak, when it came I asked for a steak knife. The waitress said looked insulted n said I won't need one. Best steak I've had.
