I agree with you to be honest. Sometimes I feel my club is dead. I hope that the new regime can alter this.

Bloody 'el cheer up people...i witnessed more than a few dire games/atmospheres at the boulevard aswell...it wasnt all roses and we were there a lot longer then the kc to have better memories!
The kc's the best thing to happen to this club to move us forward.

Indeed. We've had better atmopheres at the KC on occasion than at any time in the last decade at the the Boulevard - final game the exception.

Have to agree with this, In terms of drama it is probably one of the best games I've ever seen. Was not enjoying at the time though, was too busy screaming at Ganson
Halifax was a very poor side that year, argueably the worst ever SL side.

Best game for me that too.
Worst game was Hull City V Sunderland, the first ever game at the KC where i went just to see the ground and it was f00king freezing! Plus wendy ball was being played. I left at half time!

| Rovers 42-6 victory and last seasons play off victory are the two obvious ones.
I walked out of the ground after the 42-6 win and bumped into a mate who is FC and the first thing he said was 'we threw it on purpose to keep the derbies going' , I think he had convinced himself to hide the embarrassment.

| 2005 Against Saints when we won 46-0? I remember Paul King was at hooker, and at the time Saints team was one of the best they've had.
2006 Play off game against Bradford, IIRC we kicked from the scrum and Motu Tony turned and burned Big Les to score from it.
Obviously the game against Rovers last year, great advertisement for the game - especially with the biff.

Its been a while since this old chestnut came up.
The atmosphere at the Boulevard was overall, crap unless you were one of the 900 in the standing area of the 3d. The ends were too far away and open which didn't crerate any real noise. Infact since the 3d was reduced in capacity following the Bradford fire and Hillsborough, except for a very few occasions, the Boulevard was flat for atmosphere.
It was time to move on, the club have.

I have to agree with you fuzzy. The only game at kc that reached anything like boulevard for me was the first S/L derby. The lack of singing and no original songs is embarrasing. These have got to be down to us though not the ground.
Saints were only at widnes for a year but still seemed to generate a decent atmosphere. I'm sure if people just stood up n sung others would follow. We seem a differant bunch when we're away though. I woud'nt swap our away support for anyones

There's been no atmosphere because we've been dire for 4 years now and there's been very little to get excited about. There have been some great atmospheres at the KC generated when the team have been performing.
The Boulevard was never the same after they firstly closed down the back of the threepenny stand and then knocked most of it down. For anyone too young to have been there pre that time then you missed something special.
