I think that it will be Danny Tickle. He's captained the side a couple times this season in Fitzgibbon's absense, and plays a lot of minutes.

I see Westerman getting it in the future.

I think Westerman has the potential to be a very good captain - grown in stature this season and not afraid to be vocal. Would be happy with Tickle too, mind.

Not coming now. Curse of my avatar. I've had Brett Kimmorley, Brian Noble and Stuart Fielden when we've been linked with them. Thinking of getting a Steve McNamara one just to make sure he never comes back.

I'd with the Tickle, he is now one of the clubs longest serving players and almost always plays the full 80mins.

If we do strengthen our right hand side for next season I think he's gonna struggle to nail down a starting spot again, even though he's been a standout larker this year

I don't see who is captain as much of an issue. ATEOTD, the only thing a captain does, by job description, is lead the team out and speak to the ref. Leaders will speak/lead on the pitch whether they're the captain or not.

So you don't think having Fitz as a Captain was better than having Dowes?

I've not seen Dowes' ability to talk to the ref. ATEOTD, Fitz would have led whether he was captain or not.
