For what its worth I when I heard Morgan on radio say he couldnt announce anything for 2 - 3 weeks - then Pearson took over at Hull - For me Pearson and Morgan already agreed a deal on the back of Agar failing - Agar however has since done nothing wrong - and Morgan has backtracked on the announcement. Leading me to think Pearson cant exactly come out and announce Agar is sacked when he's a winning coach!!

Nah, we all know agar is rubbish but has a nack of pulling out the odd result when he's desperate. His win ratio against the decent teams says it all. I expect him to be in charge next year which will save me a few quid

I didn't expect too much movement with regards to players because of the cap but thought we'd get a quality coach.

I thought part of our recent ability to beat poor sides comfortably was because coaches and players are playing for there futures.

The last regime had low expectations so as a player and coach you could get away with sub standard performances and zilch entertainment.

I expected AP to be different but maybe not.

Sums it up perfectly. Lets see how we perform against Wire next week (If they need the win to take the league leaders shield.) and how we perform in the playoffs in a "must win" game. Regardless of how he does I still want him gone.

Agar deserves some credit for the last few weeks performances, maybe AP gave him and his coaches the kick up the backside they needed we he took over?

That said in my view the goings on under his tenure and his ultimate failure to take this club forward (on the field) has rendered any recent improvements nil and void. The long term future of the team should not be in his hands.

Add to this teams like Leeds and to a degree Saints (severe injuries) going through a 'transitional' stage this year we should have capitalised and be in the top 3 / 4. The fact we aren't speaks volumes for Agars capacity as coach.

I hope you have your prayer mat out Jake. Didn't you say if Hull finish in the top 6 playing attractive rugby you'd start supporting Agar?

That'll fook all those over who wanted some progression from last season, especially with all them tries were scoring.

Still think we are looking at 8th. Chances of us beating Wire are slim and Rovers or Cas will leapfrog us with a win.

Maybe I am being naive, but we have definately improved this season (not league position wise I know), we are one of only 3 teams not to have conceeded 40 points or more in a game. We won a few games last year by a few points and finished in 6th and was one game away from fourth (which I felt with the rugby we played last year would of been a false position). Dependant on next weeks results could even end up higher.
We are probably playing some of the best rugby we have played since Mcrae was here and have been fairly strong defensively all year, just in some games not having enough of both, usually against the top teams which is of course a worry.
Maybe Agar is begining to learn his trade and is starting to learn from his mistakes. What has gone before is irrelevant if we go on to be a major force in Super League, with Agar as coach. Does any one remember how close Ferguson was to losing his job at MU and look how that turned out(unfortunately).
I can't believe that if we push Wire next week and then put in a strong showing in the play offs, people still want shut of Agar.
Its like they've already made there mind up and are sticking their fingers in their ears saying "I'm not listening".

If we lose easily to Wire next week and fail miserably in the play offs, then I think we all know what Agars fate should be.

But he hasn't yet, so keep the faith.

Interesting, but the Fergie example was not the best, he wasn't given a lifetime to get things right (it feels that way), Agars relationship with the previous owners is dodgy at best, the start of this season was enough to be sacked end of story.

Apart from Catalans who don't travel well we have beaten teams on the slide or very poor sides.

Look at July and how we performed then feel so optimistic cause I don't we are an very average side.

The shackles are off in more ways than one, but as much as i like Rich i dont feel he can take us to the next level.

One of the most important things a coach and club needs are the fanbase behind them and even if we won the GF he still wouldnt get this.

He has done some good things here (rarely acknowledged) but we cannot hold these sentiments
