Hull FC have already made their choices, how hard is that to comprehend?

it's not hard to comprehend at all, what is concerning is that we (by the sounds of it) have only signed two.

is all the mention we make of our academy/development, we should be telling the fans more, surely?

Well they paraded them around the pitch a few home games ago.
It's a definite area for improvement. Hopefully the new training facilities incorporating all age groups in one site will be a positive thing.

I mentioned a couple of weeks ago that some of your scholorship boys had left Hull in order to come to Rovers. You guys reckoned that you would keep the ones that you wanted. That doesnt appear to be the case to me.
When Adam Pearson talks of evaluating his coaching staff i reckon that he will be looking more at junior level than senior. Unless of course he is happy that Hulls scholorship coaches get their hands on these kids just a couple of hours a week and are happy just to let them lift weights and not bother with skill based sessions...

this could well be down to facilities, but it is something I expect will improve vastly with AP at the helm.

I was under the impression out of the whole batch we lost three , all of whom were offered silly deals

You are partly correct with that post, I know a couple who trained with FC and got signed by KR....TBH the youth system is pants at both clubs, watch the Under 17s Premier next season, there are players in there who are a lot better than some signed! (not all like you say there are some good ones who have always been nailed on and were snapped up quickly).
The problem for me is they pick kids (who are borderline) at 12/13 yrs and just stick with that, irrelevant of the development of others, we had players last season who outshone the academy players we had, neither club were interested as they had made there investment years ago..Also amazingly the academy coaches never ask the club coaches how the lads are doing, how they train nothing, or if they have any other players who should be considered, then at 17s they sign the ones they miss and bin a few boarderline ones they have had for a few years, we are poor in the city imo

I think the vast majority of us are hoping that will change, hence really why I am asking the question(s) I am, hopefully we'll start to have more visibility of the achievements of the younger players at the club, which would be a great reflection on any increased priority placed on the youth system and coaching.

Do you or anyone else know how much is silly money? because this might be a false economy just look at the Westerman situation. He was on our books as a youngster but left I believe due wanting a bit more money (how much I don't know) yet we spend £150k buying him back a few years later.

They get £50 at FC, and less at KR.
