Thaler showed how pathetically weak he is tonight. Wigan happily ignored his directives and he couldn't deal with it. The tackle on Moa looked dodgy to me it's rare you see a player single someone out like that after being injured.

All the top teams seem to get away with infringements. Its because they play the ref as far as they can. We wont be moaning next year when we are doing it to them now will we.

I'm sure wigan fans will have a great season next year with a "highly regarded, up and coming, young British coach" in charge and quality signings like lauaki to replace inferior players like hoffman

I'm a massive believer in referee's unwittingly adapting or making allowances for either a team,or a player who constantly breaks the rules. wether it be tackling tecniques,running with your elbow raised,lifting your knees while carrying the ball or just general infringements. This is evident when you get certain players getting warning letters from the RFL or appearing in front of the disciplinary and they just carry on doing it till everyone either gets bored or just gives up. After a short while it becomes accepted as that person,or teams natural style. Most refs will only penalise someone so many times before they let it go. There is the odd exception but they're few and far between.

Firstly the Ref had no bearing on the game last night, Wigan did enough to win even though far from their best.

Now the Turner try viewing the replays there is no definitive shot that says Horne did touch the ball, so at worst it would have been given as benefit of the doubt.

Richards was passing the ball from in the tackle and Whiting gladly took the ball as it left Richards hand.

Wigan's wrestle only seems to bad because every other team is so terrible at doing it.

In tonight's game both sides will be making a effort to make a 2 up top and a 3rd man finishing the tackle however Wigan are so well drilled they manage to pull it off a lot more than everyone else.

I would rather watch Wigan play now than how it used to be 3/4 season ago where the PTB was so quick sides just used to use acting half runs and good tackle technique wasn't rewarded.

Amazes me how fans really believe that only Wigan have 3 in the tackle, only Wigan tackle round the legs but at the same time have players who only tackle round the head!!

Hull have run us close both times this season, both times by coming out and being strong and physical. But yet rolled over and died against Leeds twice in 2 weeks. If Hull played with the intensity and heart shown last night maybe they wouldnt be sat in 8th looking over their shoulder!

wigan's style of play is exactly why they now have 2 referees on the field in the NRL. I hope saints beat them next week

Wigan just do what the Storm do, wrestle teams to death. Almost every tackle they could be penalised but referee's are weak.

I carried out a study, and the results shown that Wigan on average get 3.7 seconds longer than any other team in Sl to hold down before conceding a penalty, its outrageous.

But what can you do.
