They did the basics right...had runners all over,PTB was quicker,chase was very good and just looked faster...not afraid to play off the cuff....amazing what you can do when you get a different coach in...what do we do...make ex coach assistant for a disastarous season.

Really poor today everywhere. No one deserved man of the match. Half backs nowhere to be seen, didnt see anyone barking any orders, far to many mistakes on 2nd and 3rd tackles, far to few dummy runners. Still things could have been very different, I think we were one pass from going ahead with 7 mins left, I think if Obst 2 foot pass to Turner had been in front of him rather than at his hip we would have had a 2/3 on 1 and probably been ahead for the first time. Not saying we deserved to be ahead, we didnt.
A lot has to be admired about how organised Hudds were. Everytime there was a kick through there were a number of chasers. I hope Mr Agar was taking notes.

manu played 80 mins and was absoulote awesome in defence and attack great player that would get in any side in super league and would be devastating in a side like wigan

The amount of tackles made by Fitzgibbon was brilliant, he seemed to be involved everytime we went up the middle. It was a very scrappy game by both teams, our energy levels seemed to be the only thing to keep us going. Good luck for the rest of the season.

I felt sorry for your pack to be honest, they really stood up and got stuck in but time and time again your backs let them down with silly mistakes and lost possession.

Great sides don't become bad sides over night (Wire,Giants, Leeds , Saints etc) and bad sides don't become great overnight(FC).

facts : we beat 2 very poor teams at home in Bulls/Drovers and beat a shocking side away in Reds (lost 25-0 to drovers). We then beat 2 poor champ sides in CC. We beat a thoroughly over complacent Wire side and played well. A top 10 side can occasionally do that , that's how sport works.

People on this msg board seem to think that means we will get to a Final or something like that.
We are a side that will finish 10th to 6th despite Agar. One day we will appoint a world class coach.

3 points from a possible 12 against last year's top 5 so far this season

Usual suspects making the same mistakes as the start of the season, poor kicking game. The pseudo false dawn mid season has been the worst thing to happen to the club this year as it ensured Agar's tenure would last at least to the end of the year. Until he goes and we change our tactics, improve our interchanges and stop signing "average" players the club will remain between 8-10th which is simply not good enough.

Our class players; Briscoe, Manu et al, will soon get itchy feet due to the lack of ambition and success at the club.

we weren't even anywhere near our best today but still won fairly convincing in the end due to the quality of hodgson's finishing,we let you in for 3 soft tries and our completion rate was poor.
but you are right we are nothing special, like warrington, but on our day we are a very good team,yesterday wasn't one of those days but we still got the 2 points.

That's what lost us the game, our execution with ball in hand. Too many silly handling errors, although we played poorly we had a real chance with 10 mins to go and twice found ways to lose the game. Had we cut out the sill handling errors we'd have won I feel.

We also let in soft tries and had a poor completion rate.

Physically a good effort. Mentally, looking at next week.

hard as this is to say for but thats rubbish, you are a top 8 team but are not a top 4 one. If u split the division into mini divisions hull are a 5 to 8 team who on their day can beat anyone. Hudds are a better squad and i think in the next few years they will be right up there.
Youve had a few goodresults, the season has turned a bit and lets be honest youve got a real shout at being in the cc semi then anything can happen.
Fc look a far better side then they were last year just the tight games have gone the other way.

agree with most of that apart from hudds having a better team on paper id say we have the better squad but the diffrenece is nathan brown gets teh best from his team and players such as robinson,brown,mason,griffin have all imrpoved massivly because of this so the diffrence is the coach

They didnt get out of 1st gear but then again they didnt have too.

Who has the better team on paper is a matter of opinion, what cannot be disputed is the difference a class coach makes to that team. I'm afraid we won't achieve anything near our potential with the incumbent coach.

Hudds half backs / hooker are a match for nearly anyone, their kicking game is scarey good at times. They have a youngish british team that has a very good mix of pace and power and imo it is more mobile, quicker and has more options in attack than fc.
I think their recruitment has been very good. Fc still rely on out muscling a team and stifling the oppo, which they did very well for a lot of the game yesterday but until you get more pace in the halves and a decent kicking game hudds look better on paper and on grass.
Im not oversold on Browns tactics as i think a great coach would have added discipline and ball retention and would have won something with them by now.
