I think Briscoe, Houghton, O'Meley and Fitz will be rested. Can't see Cunningham playing as he looked in a bad way after the u20's derby. Newton is nowhere near good enough and Pearce is too unfit.

Newton and Pearce may not be up to superleague standard yet but if they don't play in games like this when will they ever get their chance, they need to play with the first teamers, it's good for their development.

looks good to me although wouyld have Sharp over Whiting, bit of flat tracking will help should things go right

I went for Whiting as think him and Gleeson is our strongest right side pairing so they should have more time playing alongside each other.

I like that side, a good mixture. Agree with Hutchie though would have Sharp on the wing.

Pearce was hurt in the Reserves on Saturday. Ankle. Helped off limping heavily. Not sure if this would keep him out anyway.

Although i would of had Williams, Lyne, Green, Kent in the squad, ( i think Crooks, Cunningham and Jack Briscoe are injured, or i would of had those included as well) need to give the youngsters a chance and when are we going to have a better opportunity this year. It's just asking for one of the big players to be injured

are the young first team players good enough you would think agar doesnt think so?, absolute perfect oppitunity to try a few of them out and give players the week of because from now depending on how well we do in the cup we might not even get another week without playing and this 1 weeks rest for some players would of been vital. id rather beat oldham by 20 with some youngsters playing rather then by 50-60 with a full strengh side out

Agreed, better for some fringe players to get some tough experience and win small than it be a training lark with injuries and win by 50....
it will be no cake walk , this is their world cup final remember.....

personally i think the club lacks depth in the youth system and its no suprise that we hardly see any players go out on loan and like i say perfect oppitunity this week to give the likes of cunningham,kent,green,lynne ect a run out at a better level and see where there at because clearly they are to good to be playing 20s but because the lack of depth and with the 20s playing i reckon that was another reason for not playing the young ones. surley a game for the players i mentioned playing in the first team at the kc ect in the challenge cu is better for the club and the players then fielding a weaker team for the 20s on the same day
