What I've always liked from Dowes is the pressure he gives to the opposition's kicker on the last tackle. That thinking ahead he does as never been in question. Like the way he read Cocked's run yesterday forcing his to knock on the ball.

Last of the "awesome foursome" as well...Carvell gone on to win things at Wire and King and Thackeray pi$$ed their careers away......he comes in and does all the unnoticed graft...we cannot have 4 impact props and Dowes should start when he is in the team.

Chances are he won't get one here. Shame really, as he was my favourite player when I started going to FC.

He was excellent yesterday put in a real 100% performance. I do have one complaint though, he was wearing red and white boots, on derby day, what was he thinking!

I'd replace him with one of the youngsters . Yes he had a good game but wouldn't have featured if we had a full squad to choose from and it been Easter.

Dowes has faded in the last two seasons but hopefully he can kick on from this.

I've always liked Dowes as he has been a good servant to Hull.

Played well, hope he pushes on from here.

always happy to see players do better than expected, especially in a Hull shirt.

I have been very critical of Dowes this season and it was nice to be proven wrong by him.I thought he has been excellent this weekend and he looks like his old self again.I just hope he carry's on the good work for the remainder of the season.

Brilliant, better start saving now for the events if he has as many as Horney did. Had some cracking days/nights out.
