If Long went next week, who could we get better than Eastmond or would we risk hoping obst and Houghton don't get injured for the remainder of the season? We would have had a better idea of Williams if he had got some game time against Cas. He is as big as Horne was when he started in SL so physically I cannot see a problem. As for defense I cannot comment but like you get with a lot of players, when they step up a grade it can inspire them to perform a lot better.

agree about him getting a bit of game time at cas that would of determine wether he was ready or not and the diffrence now between super league and back in 1998 is a huge diffrence

If the board grow a pair and sack Agar and then bring Noble in then Longs days here would be numbered anyway. For me Long brings nothing to the table. He's always injured, has very little influence over a game these days, doesnt have a kicking game and shows very littel interest. Id get rid now and save the cash

I think that's a bit unfair on Long. What you've described there could probably be said about any Hull player at the moment. They're all sh*t, not just Long.

I went to see York V London Skolars last year and can assure you a different coach makes no difference. In fact I seem to remember his brother playing for London had the better game.

I can't see Saints wanting to sign Long when Lomax is looking like a good option for SH. If he can play well against Leeds then i'd play him most weeks
