The Hull College introduction was awful. I'd be disgusted if I was part of that team.

IMO the pre-match build-up was extremely flat, both sets of players came out for their warm-up to no applause whatsoever

I do not need to be told when to stand up and cheer the players when they are about to enter the pitch for the match, if I want to cheer them then I will do it in my own time

He needs to bring back the "good evening West Stand....." etc because IMO that gets the crowd going before the players come out

Also bring back the "hit the crossbar" challenge at half-time, professional players find it difficult to kick a 40/20 so I would imagine supporters would find it even harder or even impossible

And as for him getting Tom Briscoe's number wrong, well that just summed it up for me (I could do a better job than him, and with a bit more enthusiasm)

Martin was the best we have ever had...The new bloke is just pants who know nothing about the game,gets the players name wrong(who is Danny Wheelbrock ffs)lol.He is also just so uninspiring.The club should get rid of him imo.They cannot do any worse on the match day experience.

I do wonder how much of it is to do with a poor PA system - is it me or has it got worst in the last couple of seasons? I don't mean the announcements, just stuff like the music etc?

Martin was an absolutely legend at the announcements and sadly missed. SMC could really do with some investing in training and better equipment, especially with the prices that they are charging.

In all seriousness ,I think I could go out there and do a better job of it.


As for Martin ,I will always remember him running around as the fans waved flags.This was just before he tragicly died.

Perhaps the club should advertise for a team of fans to do it. They could hold auditions and build a small team of genuine fans who would take turns to be the on pitch/pitch-side announcer. The passion would be back and fans would get some input to what was happening.

The obvious problem is that some fans are potty-mouthed imbeciles, and that would be worse than having a passionless no-nothing on the microphone.

Does anyone actually take any notice of this guy!!?, where i sit in the south west corner area the tannoy system has been on the blink for about 3 years so more than often you cant hear him anyway, which is a bonus!!

This guy was the best ever. He raised the atmosphere into near frenzy before kick off. RIP Martin.

The pre-match and half-time entertainment is the most dire in the SL. I am not entertained in the slightest at the KC anymore. The guy on the mic killed the atmosphere dead before the game even started. Can't blame Agar for that. Just another decision our board can't get right.

The guy on the mic is Mike McKay - former Dj at the now defunct Romeo and Juliets and is the manager at Pozition nightclub. for those on facebook - there are some cracking romeos picutre of him in a shellsuit and bright ginger hair.

So a bocott of the KC & Pozition from now on then.



Seriouasly, the guy is dreadful, being told when to sing never works (exception being the memorial at the leeds game).

the more presenters we go through the more you realize how good Martin was, he knew which games to 'hype' it up for, and the boring ones to keep it simple.

the guy who does City wasn't bad either, but the rest have been awful.

hate the air-raid sirens as well, another pointless new addition to the pre-match routine.
