Would it not be a better option to play Tansey at 7 and spell Washy with Houghton? Tansey may not be the perfect half but he'd do a much better job at 7 than Washy.

Possibly, but he's not a particularly good distributor, not that I think Washy is great, but he is better than Tansey IMHO. Washy has played there before, whereas I don't think Tansey has, I think you could get by with Washy at 7 all game, but Tansey would be more effective as back up in a number of key positions

Maybe you have got to the bottom of some of Rich Agars team selections mate. He just forgets to include players.

He played alongside Horne against Rovers at the KC last season only switching to Fullback in defence IIRC. It was one of the games where we actually looked cohesive and only some bad luck and good defending stopped us winning that game comfortably.

but theres options depending on who agar signs but we need cover for hooker and halfback. ideally id like a player like robinson,brough and tommy L that can cover both hooker and halfback but the chances of that happening are very slim so a young halfback like gareth moore would be good cover for longy and then maybe a top fullback to allow tansey to cover hooker and half

went to watch the heavy woolen derby yesterday with my brother in law a mad Batley fan to take in a much needed game. Moore completely ran the game from start to finish, kicking Dewsbury to death and creating most of the tries from kicks, as well as scoring one himself on the way.....he also got a 10 in todays League weekly !!

I've managed 2 catch a few of the lads sessions this year and can tell you that Washbrook has been hooking with houghton, westerman has been playing 2nd row, fitzgibbon loose and lauaki prop. That is how I have seen it from a hundred or so metres away.

Based on his admittedly few efforts there last year I would hope not. Would rather see Whiting or even Nicklas there.

I would play Niklas in the 2 friendlies, if he impresses throw him in the dobbins game.
