Im going from memory mate and as soon as I saw that photo I thought it was Kevin Dick,for what its worth I Still Do.Bit chunkier than Sterlo.
Can't recall Sterlo ever wearing a Shopacheck shirt,if you go on our website in the fanzone check out the Wallpapers,there is one of Sterlo,He is wearing an ABI shirt in one and no sponsor on the other.Seeing as how he only played for us for a season and eight games find it hard to believe he could play under three different sponsored shirts.
Kevin Dick signed for us in 86 so all the same players will have been there who played with Sterlo .

 Thats definately Peter Sterling, I know for a fact because I had that picture up on my bedroom wall  IIRC this picture is at Boothferry Park possibly the Yorkshire Cup? |

I live just 10 minutes from where the 29th November auction will be held.
If anyone is interested in any of the items and would like someone to proxy bid in person as opposed to leaving a bid with the auctioneer or online bid let me know. The away shirt from the 1959 Wembley final till 1982 was this:- 
The Shopacheck Sponsored the team 1983/4 and part of 1984/5 as per the photo above(which is the shirt being sold)
Then ABI sponsored the team from 1985 and the away shirt was 
Then Shopacheck sponsored the team again with a similar shirt to that being sold from about 1989 but it was made by "Matchwinner" not Umbro[/size |

| Been 100% serious (not taking the pee), do you ever still get people wearing Hull Sharks shirts/merchandise at games? Just looking at that website of Hull's shirt history, and to be fair to the club the Sharks name/logo was up there with the better names during that re-branding era of the 90's (i.e. a hell of a lot better then Blue Sox for example). Both the shirts from 97 don't look too bad when you see them on there now.  |

Well that's it, I've seen it knocked over the years, but it was probably the most suitable (and fashionable) nickname they could have without totally breaking away from the area's tradition (i.e. the fishing link). If I was a Hull fan I'd probably wear one from that era every once in a while just for a change, esp one of the 97 season which was the club's finest moment for six years at that point.
Fair dues though I can see why people were annoyed with the 98 home shirt at the time, probably the shirt which least remembles a Hull home shirt ever really. |

I think he means in the Hull/Sterling photo, mate. Someone else confused Dick (dark hair/moustache) with Sterling (blond/clean shaven). |

One of the other players in that photo is sat here laughing, it is definitely Sterlo in that picture. |
